But correct. We threw that away. Again! As an aside it really is time we got on top of cheating. Not for the first time this season referee was happy to be conned by diving. It is a disgrace and needs to be hammered out of teams. Just for the sake of the game, eh Queens!

One of the worse refereeing ive seen in a while, Queens conned the ref multiple times throughout the game and he fell for it everytime, though we did throw the game away and should have been back in front if not for a very poor penalty kick, same old story, though was happy enough with the point in the end.

Quality highlights. Goodfellow's save gets even better when you see it again. He was going the other way for the shot that was blocked before getting across his goal for the save. Another real good game for him yesterday. Seems to have settled in as one of our better and more consistent players in recent weeks.

If morena starts the game we win today he was the only reason along with goodfellow that we got a point. Im really struggling to find out why he wasn’t starting considering most people would say he’s our best player. Front 4 were excellent in the first half. Nikki Patterson Is not good enough to be getting in our starting 11 he just lumps it away after winning it back at one point we had 3 on 2 and he kicked it towards the corner flag when he had two players running through. Declan’s penalty was poor but can’t criticise considering he scored his 10 goal this season today. Morena is just coming back from injury so it’s the manager’s call to start him back on the bench. As for the penalty it’s not the best penalty taken , for me your lead striker has got to drill that down the middle of the goal. A draw was probably fair with QP probably being the happier of the two teams. I was expecting them to get the rocket at half time fromtheir manager so no surprise they come out all guns blazing although disappointed to lose two quick goals - never a pen though. That game summed up our season we just don’t have the killer instinct and it’s the difference to looking down the bottom of the league rather than up- what’s the first thing Rovers supporters do when the final whistle is blown? Check the Brechin and Stenny results- says it all really. There were positives- first half display was a good reaction after a two week layoff and the Stirling debacle. Unbelievable save from Goodfellow saving a certain goal. New centre half looks like an improvement on Krones which is a pretty low bar to be fair. Finally my pet peeve. Short corners - when did one of them actually come off for us - before half time when we really should have been pushing for a third we’ve got to send that ball straight inti the box instead we try a world cup move. Moan over.

Cracking save at 1-0 from Goodfellow when he somehow turned a QP effort over the bar - save right out of the top drawer. Balanced by his kamikaze clearance in the second half when under no real pressure he skied a clearance which Wharton did well to head back to him. To be fair to Goody, it took a massive bobble as it reached him. I thought he was superb yesterday again.

Just as an aside... that is the 3rd time (that I’m sure about- could be more) the club have had him this season. He has given a penalty against us every time. Cowdenbeath away it hits Sean Fagan on the chest, the reserves last Monday which was very questionable and then yesterday which I thought was soft. Add that to the fact that Ouzy should have had a penalty for the same thing he gave QP theirs for, Scally was brought down inside the box but he brought it back to outside the box and missed a blatant elbow on Morena which has resulted in a black eye and I think it’s fair to say he didn’t have his best day.

Our penalty miss could easily have gone in on another day - good save by keeper but off the post to safety - could have been off the post and in - such fine margins decide these things - spoke to a lot of Queens fans and they said we are a million light years better than this stage last season - and they are not alone - heard similar from Stirling/Elgin/ Edinburgh guys. Still some way to go for the season but hopefully we can get some decent officialdom that doesn't cost us valuable points.

As one whose history of being an ARFC fan goes back much further than most who post on here, with respect to comments about refereeing, seems nothing changes , I have thought/said the same for more than fifty years. No need to remind folks of that anti `Vers `classic` refereeing decision at Ibrox a few years back.

Leaves you to ask what is the point in linesman (or women). They consistently hide.

Her reply “No, he seen the defender clear it and threw his head at his foot” I kid you not 🙈

If it wasn`t you that reported that jaydee, I wouldn`t have believed it....didn`t a former Rovers manager get pelters when he famously asked a female lino if she shouldn`t be at home making her man`s tea!

Sorry if I am not being PC but I don`t believe there should be female refs / linos in mens` football. Young Scally is probably lucky she didn`t have him sent off for hurting her feelings

Genders irrelevant. It's competence and impartiality we want.
