Football Fans in Training is back at Albion Rovers The Community Trust are again offering the SPFL Fit Fans in Training programme. The programme kicks off on Wednesday 4 March at 6.30pm in the stadium and runs for 13 weeks. It will be delivered by professional coaches and suit all ability levels.
It is open to men and women aged 35-65 with a waist size of 38 inches or more.
This could be just your ticket for a healthier 2020.
Spread the word - and just turn upon the night OR sign up in advance by contacting Sean or Lewis at firstname.lastname@example.org or direct message me here.
The specifications are laid down by the SPFL Trust so there will be reasons for them. The money comes from the Scottish Government to meet specific health targets therefore the rules.
Putting that aside I would highly recommend the programme as I took part a few years ago and found it really useful. Very enjoyable but at the same time makes you think about lifestyle choices. As well as coming along yourself, please recommend it to friends and family.
I would guess insurance would be the main one and also it’s a specific training qualification to work with people over 65. 👍🏼
Seriously, I think it`s a good idea and hope it`s a success.
Possibly, but more likely they are trying to make sure everyone is safe.
Bearing in mind it’s for people with a waist size over 38 add that to someone who is over 65 and they would really require a more personalised 1-to-1 service rather than a group setting with mixed ages and abilities.
But as you said, a brilliant idea and hopefully a roaring success again.
Just a reminder that Football Fans in Training starts at the stadium a week today( Wednesday 4 March) at 6.30 with coach Sean Higgins. Free to all participants. Booking details in original post on this thread.
