When the football restarts, whenever this is and what league setup we have I worry about folk coming along to games. Closed door games are no use whatsoever to Rovers with nearly all expenses being incurred for none of the returns being received.
Obviously we don't get hellish many at the best of times.
Will folk have got out of the habit of going to games and just not go? I've never had such a long layoff and one "close season" managed a game every Saturday except one between the end of one season and the start of the other with junior games and pre-season friendlies.
Will people be scared to come along as the virus will still be with us and only a successful vaccine is likely to allay these concerns?
Will people be unable to afford to come as often due to the state of the economy?
My fingers are crossed that we can get underway ASAP which I can't see being before August at the earliest.

Yes it hurts the head thinking of a game in current times. Will be months away. Possibly have to look at changes, like contactless payment at turnstiles pie stall (safety of those working more than fans). Open up Stewart st turnstiles to lessen queue at 2.50. Handwash stations, and using extra spaces around the ground that are underused. There would be a lot to think of...almost impossible to keep 6ft radius . A numbers person coul probably work out square footage v current capacity and alter it accordingly. Ie. Only 300 allowed using all available spaces. It hurts the head thinking of it but a fair distraction too

Imagine the costs of setting up contactless payment may be prohibitive for a wee club like rovers.

It's not too bad..although 1.69% on transations.. sumup.co.uk just need wifi or phone with 4G and could easily use it in turnstiles There's a few other like izettle. Most the youngsters wave a phone or watch when getting train tickets. That said just wittering, as really I want to watch some football then get stocious after. One day soon โ

Could my last ever match be that cold day in Ainslie Park and a 3-0 defeat from Edinburgh City ! Not one for the history books !

My view on restart hasn't changed since the beginning. Leagues stopped 2nd week in March 2020. Restart the leagues on 2nd week in March 2021. Its the only way to restart with fabs and conclude leagues in the way they should be. IMHO.

I honestly cannot see any leagues starting this side of Christmas with fans present. As I said before, the best idea would be to just start from where we left off in March but, in March 2021. Nothing else makes any sense... For both my teams๐ค
