Jim McIntyreβs asst was his last position, when the Dundee fans didnβt want Billy Dodds involved. Before that I believe he was prominently involved in the academy?

I find when someone says "with all due respect" it means exactly the opposite! So "with all due respect" you must be qualified to judge his ability in that regard.π We all have an opinion and I'm pretty sure the board will do as best they can.

For what itβs worth, Iβd be very disappointed if Boyle was even considered. His win percentage during his Airdrie tenure - 29%.
Jamie McKenzie would be my choice. Knows the club, the fans, and what it means to be a part of ARFC. Wonβt hit the wall and miss, experienced pro at this level, and will have a decent contact book. Done some solid work at Gartcairn, too.

My choice would be for Jamie also. Like with Jordie knows the club inside out and knows what our budgets are like. Spoken to Chris Smith from his time at Gartcairn and during those times he couldnβt speak highly enough of him.

I like Idea of jamie too
Knows the club Knows the people Understands what the budget will be Understands what his wage will be Good rapport with the fans
I'm sure he holds a record as the youngest manager of a scottish league side, when he was player manager with Elgin

From a good source heβd also have Ciaran Donnelly in as his assistant.

Iβd go for mick Dunlop one of the most experienced players at this level and our problem last season was the fact we couldnβt defend a ball in the box which mick could do with his eyes closed if we could defend set pieces and keep the fire power we have up front we could be a real threat next season

Certainly someone who is familiar with the club as well as the league set up would be the best option - a combination of McKenzie/Donnelly and Dunlop could be the best format . We need to ensure that we have guys who can address the basics that we have been found wanting in recent seasons - namely how to defend/how to control midfield and how to see out a game. They certainly fit the bill on these grounds.
