Seeing as someone has mentioned the 50-50 draw, ( which I also agree with being reinstated asap), what ever happened to the idea of starting a lottery, it was discussed at the trust meetings but nothing has ever came of it. Any reason apart from lack of interest?

I understand the lottery plan isn't dead but that's all I know.

It’s been talked about long enough so it’s either something that’ll help raise funds for the club or it isn’t . I’m old enough to remember the tickets that were sold in the town years ago. There was enough interest then and everyone likes a flutter so surely even the non Rovers supporting folk in the brig would take a shot

I'm not sure if the online 50/50 is practical when things get back to normal to run alongside the match day one. If Ben is up for it though one in August and then September might be possible before matches start back. With the justgiving page closed I'm not sure how that could be done but I'm sure those more technically gifted could find a way to do it and bring some more much needed money into the club.
Long term I think an online lottery is the way forward. The online 50/50 showed there would be support for this. I believe their are plans to get this launched soon.

Hearts and Partick Thistle hit with notice of complaint by SFA - for taking SPFL dispute to court.
Relegate them another division, or indeed by the one division again if they win their arbitration vase!

From STV:
Confirmation: Betfred Cup will start on October 6. Quarter-finals in December, semis in January and final in February

Hearts & Partick Th have lost their arbitration case and are both relegated.
Correct decision - end of..... punishment for going to Court still to be decided. I’d suspect a large fine mostly suspended for any other offences and maybe even a suspended points fine too.

Yes not a surprise,
The 3 strong panel ruled unanimously that the relegation should not be overturned
And now after trying to claim £10 million in compensation they could be out of pocket and have to pay alot in legal fees. It was also decided unanimously no compensation had to be awarded and both hearts and partick thistle are liable for all other parties legal costs.
3 executive members of the SPFL board were interviewed and thousands of pages of evidence were submitted with no stone being left unturned.

September 14th has been suggested by the Scottish Gov as being when we may get back into sports stadiums with limited numbers etc.

www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/53514358Just been reading this - think it is interesting players will drop a few divisions in the hope of success / money. Admittedly only a handful. I was also enjoying the statement of the EK manager. If that doesn't get the club going this season...

The players are dropping for money nothing else, I wish clubs who are outspending other clubs would stop being called ambitious, every club would be ambitious if they had the budget, they are spending money,

Indeed, most of us remember the very ambitious Gretna.

Agree with Chris. This is nothing about joining an 'ambitious' Club or 'being part of a journey'
It's about money and nothing else.I don't have a problem with players making as much as they can in what is a relatively short career but don't treat the fans as mugs.
I really hope Rovers use this kind of bragging to put some distance between us and bottom spot.
Not one of those clubs mentioned in that article have anything like the history or pedigree of Albion Rovers F.C.

I am utterly sick of hearing about these 'ambitious' clubs. Big incentive to give them a doing at Cliftonhill if they ever turn up. EK have lost every single match they have played against us. The phrase 'funded by local businessmen' is also always attached to these marvellous outfits...
