That's the cameras provided by Mark Millar not the popstar with a similar moniker!
Watched the Airdrie v Rovers match and must say the coverage was pretty good considering there was no human interaction controlling them. They did lose the plot (well.... ball) a few times and we were left looking at the wrong area of the pitch but all in all very acceptable but still nothing but a last resort substitute for the real thing!

I stand to be corrected here, so if I've missed something let me know but I can't find anything on the main site promoting this beyond the initial announcement. No user guide, no idea about how it will be used over the season, no fixture list, cost to view live etc. Even a teaser if they haven't finalised would be better than nothing. Presumably they were discussing with Mark Millar for some time before the announcement so why not have everything in place to take advantage of the launch publicity. I think it's a great thing, I'll definitely use it, I want to pay the club to use it. Why am I struggling to find any information on how to do that?

I largely agree with Edrover. However, showing more of the initiative with which Rovers are synoymous than Edrover could apparently muster, I took some time to: investigate the Pixellot app; downloaded it to my phone; registered Rovers as one of my teams; checked out the App's functionality; and watch some of the available footage (Stenhousemuir v Dunfermline, Montagnola v Maccabi Roma, the usual). The playback looks great. However, I think most folk are after the Live experience. Is this possible? If so - great. If not, no problem, but it would be good to know.
My search also uncovered results for Pixie Lott, whose images I'll be paying close attention to from here on in.

not sure if anyone would know this, but was just thinking if you have bought a season ticket will you still have to pay to watch home games on Pixelot? Doesn't really seem right if you do.

That's exactly what I was thinking. I haven't bought a season and was about to prior to the last Covid announcement but I don't think it would be fair to pay twice. I'd happily pay the season ticket if coverage was included. Incidentally I think it's ludicrous we are stopping fans watching in limited numbers at an outside event. Lower league teams need entry money. No one will convince me that attending football is riskier than going to the pub

I would be gob smacked if the club said adult/concession season ticket holders had to pay to watch the live streams. On the point of fans, we would be easily able to socially distance at 1m for 400 fans. The risk of watching a game in a bar is far higher than watching at Cliftonhill. The club may need to adopt an all ticket approach to games similar to the lower leagues in England but I’m sure the extra effort would be worth it. Over to Scot Gov I suppose.

Totally agree about crowds. Could easily have trials possibly starting with season ticket holders and going from there. They were so hell-bent on getting schools and universities back and opening pubs and it's blew up in their faces.

2 separate discussions going on here: the Pixelott cameras and having fans back to the ground. Going back to the original thread I believe the cameras open up a further opportunity for another an income stream. It has been important for clubs like the Rovers to create new income streams for a while now and reduce the reliance on gate moneys: but the COVID19 crisis has made this essential.
It would be great if it was possible to have the Ayr Utd Betfred Cup game on 6 October streamed and then followed by our first home league game against Stenhousemuir on 17 October. I am sure the club are working flat out to make this happen as it is too good an opportunity to miss. I have had a few Ayr Utd fans on to me to ask if the game will be streamed. I think there would be interest in both games and this would make up somewhat for the loss of gate money. Watching the games on screen helps also to keep an interest in the playing side of things although not a substitute for being there in person. It is only fair that those who have bought or will buy season tickets have access to the league games as part of their ticket. I'm sure if this is the case then season ticket sales would be boosted in the coming weeks.
I noticed that the price to watch Premier League games ranges from Motherwell at £12 to Livingston at £20: I'm sure the BOD will take these as a guide to what hey charge for our games. Just my opinion but would go for £10 for the Ayr cup game and think £6, £7 or £8 for the league games with a virtual pie thrown in for a pound !!
Let's hope this happens at least to test the market and bring in some much needed 'gate ' money.
Would be good to hear others views on potential pricing of streaming games.

Any news for Tuesday night? Ayr United mentioned on their Twitter feed that the game was being shown. They also stated that season tickets holders would not be charged extra when Ayr stream their home games.

Ayr announcing the S/T holders will get access to league games free of charge. Would fully expect them to charge for cup games though. Hopefully our board will be in a position to confirm their stance soon.
