We are delighted to announce the launch of the brand new, online, fundraising venture – THE WEE ROVERS LOTTO. We will run a weekly draw with all funds raised to go towards supporting our beloved club, Albion Rovers Football Club. By going online, supporters from all over can now be involved in doing their bit for their club. We encourage supporters from near and far, past and present, and the community of Coatbridge to play The Wee Rovers Lotto. Playing is simple and easy, here’s how: Pick any four numbers between 1 and 32. If you match all four numbers selected on the night you will win/share the jackpot, the initial jackpot is £1000 (future jackpots will start at £500). If there are no jackpot winners, the jackpot amount itself will increase by £25 for each draw which doesn’t generate a jackpot winner. The jackpot will be capped at a maximum of £3500. Each line costs £1, you can enter here or by downloading the Clubforce app directly on to your mobile phone. Once you have created an account, you have the option to purchase a single line, multiple lines and automatically be entered into the weekly draw which will routinely take place on a Friday evening at 1830. Ticket sales will close at 1730 on a Friday, any purchases made after that will be entered in to the next weeks draw. You can also opt to enter a number of weekly draws up front, so you don’t need to remember to re-enter every week. We would like to thank you all for your continued support to the Club and we wish you good luck in your future draws. For your chance to win the Wee Rovers Lotto, play online here.

At long last, been banging on about this for years so I hope now that folks get right behind this, especially those folks in the town that can’t be arsed coming to watch us play football but might be tempted by a wee punt.
Only downside for me is there doesn’t appear to be a consolation prize for getting 3 numbers correct which should also be an opportunity for folks to win. It might well be there and I’ve missed it but if not can it be made possible

Please note that this lottery is run by the supporters trust rather than the club. Of course all money raised by the trust benefits the club.

Finally! This has been mooted for quite some time and, with the proper marketing, will be a huge success. It’s down to us to spread the word and generate the interest something like this deserves.

Well done to Scott and others for getting this off the ground. There is always more involved in starting an initiative like this than meets the eye. And you never know this might be the perfect time to start a lottery than anytime in the past with the club facing very challenging times and dovetailing perfectly with the end of the very successful 50/50 online draw which showed that many people put their money where their soft spot for the Rovers was. Anyway tickets bought and as Jordan has rightly said it's now up to us all to spread the word and make this a great success which gives the club a boost in its income. Ronnie

Well done everyone getting this set up i know its been in the works for quite sometime.
Agree with Jordie this could be a huge success but its down to us to spread the word to friends family etc.
I'm signed up for the year, hopefully it'll be more successful than my 50/50 record of 1 win in 18 years (£15 pre season v Stranraer )

Perhaps worth printing off some flyers and distributing them around local businesses etc? Noticeboards, butchers, pubs etc. I’m sure St Andrew’s Bar would be happy to support and lots of the punters in there have a huge soft spot for the club. Owens, too. There’s a real opportunity here - Coatbridge is a big town and this could really take off.

Great idea, Jordan.
I can usually find a way to screw up any registration process but got through to the end, almost without incidence, so hats off to the software.
In for a year, looking forward to the jackpots rolling in.

Draft version of a flyer attached, not finalised as yet and very much a first attempt. We would need some volunteers to help to take a few once printed and distribute them.

Great poster new2rovers. When it's finalised, as well as Jordan and other volunteers taking them round local businesses, could it be posted on Facebook, Twitter etc so we can all share it like mad among our social media contacts.

Ronnie Many thanks to Ben for his artistic support in creating a more appealing flyer and creating the web page. Please feel free to share far and wide.
