The club are really sorry to everyone who had trouble with our stream tonight.
There’s no question that anyone who paid and didn’t see the game will be refunded over the coming days.
We know who you are and we’ll be in touch soon. Pixellot have also asked us to communicate the following statement on their behalf.
“Pixellot is extremely sorry that many fans were unable to access the live streams that took place tonight. The cause of this is currently unknown, despite continuous efforts to bring the platforms back online from the moment we became aware of the issue. Multiple services that we were providing were affected. We will continue to investigate this and as soon as the cause for this is known, we will communicate this accordingly.”

Update from the club.
We know we said we'd be in touch with folk who were unable to watch our stream last night.... we're compiling the list of people to contact and will be in touch as quickly as we can.
Just to reiterate, there's no question about refunds for those who deserve them and we have already been in contact with some of the message board users that had issues.

The issues the other night were nothing to do with the club and the problems also affected the transmission of a number of other games. Lots of credit go to the efforts of a number of people at the club who have been testing the system for weeks and have worked hard to make this work. I'm sure things will be sorted out and this will be a boon to the club. I know people who paid their money and didn't get reception are entitled to a refund but surely the company Pixelott should pick up the bill for this as the problem lay with their system.
Looking forward to buying my season ticket soon and watching the league games through the Pixelott streaming. I'm sure the club will be pushing the sale of season tickets up to the Stenhousemuir game as people will want to watch the team through the live streaming service.

I think the club acted correctly and swiftly here. In the end people are paying the money to Rovers and you need at least maintain a bit of trust with the fans and other users than get into a big argument about who pays what and who is to blame.

The club have now made contact with everyone that they believe were impacted by the issues with the Pixellot platform on Tuesday evening. A number of refunds have been made with the remainder to be completed when a response to our contact has been received.
Since Tuesday the club have been meeting regularly and working closely with Pixellot to understand the root cause of the issues.
As a club we recognise and appreciate the efforts made by Pixellot to bring this matter to a speedy resolution. Their support, together with that of our incredibly loyal fan base, is highly valued and will be pivotal in the success of the platform as we move forward.
Pixellot have asked us to communicate the following statement on their behalf.
“Pixellot would once again like to extend our apologies to fans who had paid for and were subsequently unable to view matches on Tuesday. Investigations have been ongoing since Tuesday to identify the root cause of why fans were either unable to access the platform to subscribe or unable to access the platform after subscribing. It appears that the Pixellot supply chain was targeted by a cyber-event. This event was disruptive in nature and did not lead to the compromise of personal data. Whilst Pixellot and our supply chain have a number of controls in place, we have since implemented further cyber defences which reduces the risk of similar events occurring in the future.”

Just a heads up might be some others in the same boat. Cheers Tee.

I don't think it looks good to say 'the issues the other night were nothing to do with Rovers' because it was a service we offered in partnership with Pixellot which for a fair percentage of fans did not work.
Well done to the club for at least attempting to contact most if not all of those affected.
It's not about blame but we need to build trust and confidence and it has to get better.
These are tough times and if fans don't have confidence that they will get to see a game they have paid for then numbers will drop.

It is accurate to say the issues were nothing to do with the Rovers on Tuesday night. The Pixelott system failed to deliver an adequate service on Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday at least 4 matches. It is up to that company to sort things out soon or confidence in the system will be eroded to the financial detriment of a good number of lower league clubs. I'm not sure about other clubs but the Rovers' board have acted swiftly and honourably to compensate supporters and other customers and that is to their credit. However, I sincerely hope that someone from the club has taken this issue up with the system provider to ensure the club is not out of pocket. Ronnie

Sorry Ronnie but that's just plain wrong and misleading to say what happened had nothing to do with Rovers.
Rovers offered a service, in conjuction with another company, and a lot of fans who paid did not get that service.
The root cause of the failure may not have been down to Rovers but it was a failure of a paying service we offered.
I agree the Club has done the correct thing in offering refunds and this is the right and honourable thing to do.

Pixellot have made the news, more info about the problems and SPFL teams with the system will get a 50% reduction on their first years bill. Plastic Whistle dumped them altogether it says and clubs will be provided with the necessary gear to have someone control it if the club would rather that than relying on it's linesman's napper obsessed AI. An override system for the AI! This is it. The AI realises it is losing control, becomes self aware, tries to defend itself, launches a nuclear strike on Coatbridge and causes billions of pounds of improvements!

Good to see that Cowdenbeath are showing their match live today on YouTube. This bodes well for our visit there on 21st November.
