Too many changes for my liking, doesn`t augur well for stability at the club. Didn`t the Chairman step aside late last year. ?

I have always thought there was a question mark over this Board- on the pitch the success has been phenomenal and everyone deserves the plaudits. Off the park it's not so clear cut. Word on the street is that we are back in debt again. Last year's accounts are well overdue and an AGM has been missed. I hope we're not going back to ye dark old days.

The issue I have with the board is the admission prices. After promotion, our prices went up and in my opinion there was no need for it. I feel the board are relying on the away support of Ayr, Dunfermline and Airdrie to keep us going. Yes, this is great in terms of finance but home support has dropped and it's pretty obvious that the gate prices are to blame. The club portrays itself as a community club so get the kids in for free Typical example was when Airdrie was charging £10 for a cup game.. we charged £16 for the Morton game the same day. I know both clubs have to agree a entry price but that's a scandalous price. The following week we charged £10 ....quite obvious that the board saw the negative comments on this forum. I'm a season ticket holder so it doesn't affect me but for people paying in it sends out bad signals. The word greed springs to mind

In recent years the AGM was in or around November, so, yes, the club are late sending out accounts to shareholders and having the meeting. Perhaps our Trust rep on the BOD (Ronnie) can enlighten us ?

Thanks to Michael for his efforts over his time at the club. It can be a pretty thankless task and I guess board members must wonder why they bother at times. It certainly isn't anything to do with greed.
On some of the comments above about the accounts and AGM, please note that these are not late and an AGM has not been missed despite what is written above. Yes, they are later than they have been in recent years but that does not mean they have missed any statutory deadlines.
I’m speculating here and basing this on nothing other than guesswork but I think the longer time frame may be down to the more onerous, time consuming and I suspect expensive audit rules that a majority of shareholders insisted upon at last years agm. This was despite the advice of the club auditors for the past 10 years advising the club to update its audit requirements in line with other clubs and businesses of our size.

When Frank Meade came in 2005 the club hadn't published accounts for 7 years- the club paid a fine of £19k to companies house for non issue of accounts, we had an unpaid bill to HMRC which just about closed the club down. One of the excuses given by Davie Wright, Director on one occasion was that the auditor had broken his leg playing 5 asides.
The accounts are late. No excuses are acceptable. The rumours are that we are struggling financially - ok let's see the accounts and put the rumours to bed.

We seem to have a revolving door at boardroom level at the moment with little or no stability.
One thing is certain. If we are in financial trouble after those live on TV cup ties against Rangers then that is gross financial mismanagement.

Although I have been critical Tommy I'm not accusing anyone of wrongdoing. The Directors at ARFC do this in their own time, the team have been punching well above their weight and the response from the people of Coatbridge is frankly pathetic. One other point I would make is all the changes at Boardroom level - could this point the club in the direction of being taken under control of the supporters Trust- just a thought

I think what we have seen at the club over the past few years both on and off the field is nothing short of a miracle considering the support we get.. The off field work by the directors & back room staff (pass & present) have worked non stop to ensure Darren & Billy have the necessary backing and a relentless effort is made to improve the match day experience is better. The reason for the turn over of Directors at the top of the tree is purely due to health and business reasons outwith the club. Let's stop all the daft conspiracy theories and keep this season going to the end by backing everything that goes on at the club we love.

the response from the people of Coatbridge is frankly pathetic. Why the surprise regarding that, I've been around with the Rovers for as long as I can remember and there has never been any support from the the locals. If we ever went down the tubes I reckon most folk there wouldn't even worry about it. Bad enough the council haven't supported the club in any great way so don't expect the public to do likewise
