Mentioned this before but I still believe this should have been set up so that there was a consolation prize for folks picking 3 correct numbers, wouldn’t need to be anything great, something along the lines of £25. Give some hope to those who have had a punt

A fair point Sam. Although I am not sure if the pot is big enough for a number of £25 winners most weeks. But am sure it's something the organisers could look at.

Tbh this is a fundraiser exercise if you give away more prizes you aren't raising as much money,
Not about giving people the chance to win money, it's not the 50/50, more about the club getting as much money out peoples pocket as possible
Also the longer it goes without being won the better it is for the club, they want as little winners as possible

Has there ever been a jackpot winner yet ?I realise it's about raising funds for the Club and I participate, but it would be nice to see an actual winner.

No there hasn't as no ones 4 numbers have been picked. I seem to recall Stirling Albion running a similar lotto and the jackpot reached £20,000. It may have increased by more than £25 per week, a season ticket holder won it. What a lift! The more it's not won the more people will buy tickets. I'd like to see me winning the euro millions but there's no guarantee.😁

I don't know how many punters there are buying tickets but I'm sure it'd have lost a lot of money if there had been a jackpot winner already! I believe there is a maximum jackpot, somewhere in the £2000-£2500 region.

£3500 maximum
There are 35960 possible combinations so could be a while but bigger prize longer it goes

Firstly I’d like to express everyone’s sincere thanks for taking part in the Wee Rovers Lotto.
Secondly, I’d also like to thank everyone for their feedback, observations and opinions.
Just to share a bit of insight around how the lottery has been performing over the first few weeks.
On average we have had circa 105 lines playing each week. Which in my opinion for a very new venture is incredibly encouraging. Some of these players have generously purchased a years, 6 months or a quarters worth of tickets in advance.
The provider of the lotto (Clubforce) are due 10% of each £1 played. We reviewed four suppliers who had platform fees up to 40% of each £1 played. Clubforce were selected on the basis of their platform fee, their information security certifications and their data protection measures.
Additionally, as per the license granted by North Lanarkshire Council, 25% of the Wee Rovers Lotto proceeds must be used for the purposes in which the society has been formed. For example contributions towards the squad fund, buddy’s club and supporters buses etc. Whilst we are unable to conduct these activities at the moment due to COVID we do have an obligation to set fund aside for these purposes.
The remaining proceeds then will go to support various endeavours around the club.
We would like to introduce lucky dip prize winners in the future should the volume of players permit but at this stage it’s not possible.
In saying that though, for the draws on Friday 25th December and 1st January, there will be two lucky dip winners drawn randomly to win £50 each.
Moving on to advertising, the club twitter and Facebook accounts regularly feature posts. I understand that the Coatbridge Past and Present page of Facebook also has regular posts.
Jordo has suggested flyers being produced, these were produced and some have been taken to do letterbox drops. When restrictions permit we will look to get some in restaurants and bars around the town. The club are also looking at getting some advertising on the back of the club van too.

Great update New2rovers. A good initial response which I’m sure we can all help to increase number of players of our lottery. The lucky dip idea at Christmas and New Year is a good one. Saw flyers clearly displayed in Cloud Cafe at the Fountain. Thanked the owner for her support of the club. Ronnie

Ronnie Ronnie, we run one for the club I’m attached to in Helensburgh. We have a Jackpot that continues to grow without a winner and a £25 consolation prize. However it’s not £25 each for those who pick 3 numbers, it will get split between them, (the same as you don’t pay out multiple jackpot prizes if more than 1 person correctly picks the 4 numbers). Gives folks the chance to get something out it.
