I've finally been able to log in after proving I'm human. I've just heard some disquieting news that Pat Gihooly, his brother and the financial Director have resigned from the Club and wonder a) What is at the root of it b) Where does this leave the Club c) Is the Club in financial trouble d) Have we enough Directors to satisfy League rules

The first question I would like to ask .is who is the source of this information. Too often there are stories that go out there which have little or no basis . I have heard of a more positive scenario for the club but will not make public statements until I check my facts out thoroughly . But the fundamental lquestion here is , why do people make public assertions based on rumours . It really annoys me that seeds of doubt are planted at a time when the club are moving forward on all fronts . At the very least this is thoughtless and careless. But hopefully not malicious.

Checking the Companies House website proves that all three have indeed resigned, on 1st July it states so that part is a fact and a matter of public record. I believe I saw Pat and Terry, certainly Terry anyway at the Morton game on Saturday.

Just for your info Deerboy I would not post anything if I was unsure of my facts. Like you I've seen too much rumour and innuendo on here to follow suit. I posted it out of concern for the Club to find out if we are on a solid footing off the park. It seems that there are changes at Board level on far to frequent a basis.

I share your concern for The Club, Laird, and it maybe the case that a Board Member is not the easiest thing to do, could be that is why there are changes, but I know we wont get any answers through this fans site, so I will ask Ronnie on Tuesday night at the Clyde match for an update.

Roy i saw Terry on Saturday and spoke to Pat he was walking along the track with his son, im sure it cant be an easy job being a board member at our club if anything the poor turn out on Saturday must be frustrating. I hope they stay on at the club in some capacity as we have enjoyed a really good run as a team, and the stadium improvements that Terry has put together have been fantastic.

Any user on this message board that makes an observation about the club never mind criticism is rounded upon. It's pathetic.

We all are on the same page with the best interests of the club at heart. There may be change of directors who are supporters too after all, and circumstances do change. We've all enjoyed the last few years and a note of thanks for their contribution and support is due. To John's original points though far from being argumentive I feel such concerns are probably in a few minds. Appreciate this forum is viewed more widely but perhaps at the next trust meeting such concerns can be raised with the boards supporters trust representativeb(s). food for thought!

I don't think the attendance of 400+ is that bad, on a midweek night when maybe some folks are on holiday. When we played Morton last November in the Scottish Cup the attendance was 505. That was on a Saturday as well.

That was on a Saturday as well. I think the problem is that the figure also includes the players and officials etc...I am not sure, but I think I read this somewhere, its an attendance figure rather than a paid in figure....maybe someone knows if this is true, and also that half teh gate money goes to Morton..so not much income...BTW...the pitch looked in good nick !
