A heads up to all fans and the club. Last week I was the victim of online fraud. Someone had got my card details and phone number, set up an Amazon account with them and purchased a load of stuff that was delivered to my address. I can only assume that if I returned them for a refund that the person responsible would try to get a refund in another manner defrauding me of the money. With help from my bank and some from amazon I have the money back and the card cancelled. I use a limited number of sites for online services and as the only new use has been online games home and way it points in this direction. Is it possible that during the alleged pixellot cyberattack that details were stolen? I would advise everyone to check their bank accounts for any dubious activity. I would also ask the club to look into it and also get the payment site to add an option to remove their card details from the site after payment so that the card details aren't sitting their and also the option to change the e-mail log in. I know its a pain to enter card details every time but when your account is open for close to 3 hours during a game it does leave it open to attack. Until these matters are resolved I won't be purchasing any other games and just using my season ticket codes for league games. I know it is a secure site but the type of people who do this are clever! All the best.

I too have tried to remove my card but it doesn’t allow this. It only allows me to change the card but it remains on the system. Also, when purchasing the games I have to put the card details every time as it doesn’t allow me to purchase using the saved card. Why is the card saved on the system if it’s not needed and I have to manually type in all of the details for every game?

Also no option to delete or close account. Not a great system at all. Clearly needs work to restore confidence. Would be good to know if the club are aware of the issues.

Hello everyone,
This has been passed onto Pixellot for them to fix and I have made it clear it needs to be sorted ASAP. I have brought it to the attention of their UK based director who has assured me they have made it their priority to sort out.
The website is not our own website, but is Pixellot's website that has been created for us to use.
Unfortunately, the access we have to the live streaming website is for basic functions (like scheduling the match events) and does not enable us to change this specific part ourselves.
I'll post here when I get an update.

No bother at all.
I think it would benefit to give you all more info...
We had a zoom meeting with ourselves, Pixellot's management team and the other Scottish clubs with the system in place last month.
We raised a lot of action points for them and to be fair they have been doing a lot of work in a number of different areas.
The camera system is constantly being updated and improved. They have also sent us out new equipment to help with coverage. It will enable us to manually control the camera at points we feel it would help to do so.
I noticed Iain McMenemy (chairman at Stenhousemuir) said this on their club website which I think is pretty fair and applicable:
"This is new technology and lots of clubs are still working through some technical issues with their systems, and we are no exception. However, just a few months ago, we had nothing in place, and the future of the league was in doubt. However, we pushed quite hard to get a system identified, built and installed. This was all turned around in record time, perhaps too quickly. It has meant that many of the bugs and issues have not yet been ironed out. Much of the system has been built specifically for us, and clubs are on a learning curve as well."
It's not went perfectly, but we have had to learn how to use something pretty complicated quickly. It's certainly been frustrating with some things just completely out of our control.
We are working so hard to improve the product and get it to level we want it to be at.
Once again a huge shoutout to Mark Millar for setting it all up. I just think it's great fans can watch the matches and without this system I think we would have genuinely struggled to set something up that enables us to do what Pixellot does.

Ben, Mark, Pixellot
Thanks.
I am sure everyone appreciates all the efforts that are going on. The comments from the Stenny Chairman explain a lot. From nothing to something in almost no time is an achievement I think the picture quality is really good, the sound is a little ahead of the action which is a bit off putting, and watching the Coatdyke end when the action is at the Coatbridge end or watching the linesman's bald head is also a pain. The card issue has to be dealt with promptly. These are not complaints, they are observations.
The main thing I hope for is that, when Covid is by with and supporters are back at matches, the system will be ongoing. Exiles can only make matches at huge expense of time and money, so having the possibility of watching the match on your laptop is just terrific. (Nothing beats being at the match, nothing, but streaming is the next best option.)
Thanks again.

All well and good but the site itself needs improving and although they do it for pixellot it's not strictly pixellot. It's not just about the streaming it's about knowing the site and your details are secure. Being able to remove your card details and change your linked email log in are basic and vital.

Hello, I have been speaking to the folk at Pixellot so I can confirm some details for everyone. The Albion Rovers univtec OTT website has been created by Pixellot as our platform for showing matches. They have integrated our chosen payment platform (Stripe) that we use to collect payments from fans. Pixellot saves no payment data in the OTT platform, or in the database of user information. When you enter your card details and pay, your billing information is stored within the club's stripe account and no information is shared/saved with Pixellot in any way. The API link (what allows Pixellot and Stripe to work with/'talk to' each other) means that payment details can be displayed within the Pixellot OTT (incl. on the billing information page) which is why you see your card details on the screen when you are logged in. The univtec website simply displays the card that you have paid with through stripe. Pixellot are going to remove this page after we passed on your feedback so to not cause any confusion. Stripe is used by most clubs in Scotland. It has millions of companies registered from small clubs like ours to massive businesses like Uber/Spotify/Amazon and so on. In terms of safety for your billing details stripe is: SSL Protected All transactions are SSL (Secure Socket Layer) protected. Your information and your donors information are securely transmitted during the processing of all payments. PCI Compliant Stripe is a PCI Service Provider Level 1 which is the highest grade of payment processing security. You can rest assured that your donors information is safe and secure. Encrypted All credit card numbers are encrypted and safely stored in Stripe's state of the art data-center. This ensures both the security and integrity of your donors information. If you would like your billing information removed from Stripe please email: supporters@albionroversfc.co.uk If you were to pay for another match then your details would be stored again in relation to that match. The details are stored in order for us to process refunds if needed. Please email also if you have further questions. stripe.com/en-gb

TL;DR
Pixellot doesn't hold any billing information in any way at all.
When you pay - it is through the payment platform we use called Stripe and information is stored only there for the club to use in case of refunds etc.
Stripe is the global leader for this type of thing and is used by most Scottish clubs and millions of businesses worldwide. It is extremely safe.

It is some aspects of the pixellot site that are the issue not the payment system as such. If the page showing the card details is removed fair enough. It would still help if the email log in could be changed. Failing that other, bigger sites don't allow it and advise you to open a new account with a different email. Possible, but you then need an option to delete the old account. 👍

If you want to create another account for the website, I can contact Pixellot and they will be able to delete you other account completely if that suits.
I have asked if they could make that something the user can do rather than us having to ask them to do it.

If they can set up the change email/delete account options then all well and good. If not then will see what is the best option. Sorry to be a paranoid pain in the *+#@! 👍

Game purchased for tonight so hopefully no problems on the details front. Would still like to see the page with your card details gone though at the very least. 👍

Jimbo are you definite your account hack came from anything linked to Rovers. I've personally signed up to at least five clubs payment portals with no issues and I'm sure Noone else has had any problems. Have faith.
