The way this season is going a 1-0 defeat at home to Stirling doesn't really seem too bad. As in recent seasons it looks like we are just hoping that there is one team in the division worse than us. You're probably right but is it acceptable that's what we have to look forward to? To more or less repeat the brogan experiment and expect a different result is bordering on madness.

Not sure Jimbo if I'm honest. I think we only have 2 seasons max at this level anyway and then we drop down. For me there is a feeling of inevitably about it all. I think this scraping to avoid bottom spot is where we are at this time.

Can't see the club surviving the drop. Certainly not the ground as upkeep would be out of our means. The player budget was rock bottom when brogan was in charge but increased when the wonga loan was paid off. At that point Harper managed to bring in enough to save us. To rely on young players again with little experience, particularly in defence, has been disastrous and Reid seems incapable of sorting them out. Poor signing policy and unfortunately the wrong manager. Feels like the defeatest fagan era has returned. Little hope. No ambition.

Poor signing policy and unfortunately the wrong manager. Feels like the defeatest fagan era has returned. Little hope. No ambition. As I have said before the main reasons for our position fighting to stay in the league is the lack of significant investment in the club and the high percentage of the club’s income and energy which go into maintaining the stadium and being granted SFA licence and Council safety certificate. A huge amount of effort goes into keeping the club where it is. Unseen heroic efforts in my opinion. To lift us from our current position of constant struggle requires significant investment. Unfortunately,no one is going to turn up at the stadium and leave several bags of money saying get on with it. Any investment will come with strings and that is an issue any Rovers board is going to have. Are the strings worth the risks. That and the current structure of the club that depends on the approval of any development by a few shareholders. Those are the issues. The answers are not so easy to outline I’m afraid. Ronnie

All the more reason not to waste the player budget on another brogan gamble. A gamble that is imploding.

Can't see the club surviving the drop. Can we discuss this possibility at the end of the season rather than now, almost at the beginning of the season?

Can we really wait and take the risk of being relegated assuming the season gets finished. If we had did that under brogan we'd be either in the lowland league or gone completely.
