Just wanted to say bye as Gabe was told tonight when he arrived at training that Albion would not be continuing his loan from Ayr.
This was a complete surprise to him as it was his first session back after Covid and getting the all clear from Ayr physio and doctor. He had been out since the outbreak around the Hamilton game, a fair time for a "runny nose ".
He has thoroughly enjoyed the experience with the players and was really keen to get back in and help the club climb up the league and potentially even make the squad for the Scottish Cup. His biggest disappointment has been not playing in front of fans, particularly as he has had great support from some of you on here and on social media.
I would also like to thank those who made the effort to contact him during his illness and as his father, from a human perspective that was greatly appreciated. Apologies for not knowing names of those who did, but I know who didn't.
Finally from my own personal perspective,I am extremely disappointed i didn't get the chance to see him turn out for you in front of the fans. I am biased obviously but I know he could have helped the team when he was fully fit again.
Thanks for making us both welcome and I hope that at least purchasing a season ticket will help you in some small way and at least I can possibly watch online.
Good luck to you all for the rest of the season.
Who knows we may meet up at some point.
Cheers David

Looked a decent prospect, a shame he didn't get much chance to show. Hope he has a good career and gives his dad plenty to cheer. Thanks for all your positivity, Ski64

Thanks for all your positivity, Ski64 Cheers Fineen, illness obviously limited his opportunities. Hopefully he will get back to full fitness and playing again soon. Regardless of where that is i will be there.

Sad to hear that David. I had no idea, or I would have spoken to him last night.
Please pass on my best wishes to Gabe, great lad and if he keeps his focus he has a very bright future in front of him.
All the best to you and your family for the festive period and for a better 2021.
JD.

He mentioned you often and I know he was disappointed that he didn't get the opportunity to speak to everyone the way things ended up last night. Football is a small world and there's every chance we will meet up at some point. I will, if restrictions and time allows, get along to a game and say hello. Thanks for all your support and all the best for you and yours for the future
