Times up, results are dire to say the least and today's blootering only shows the fact we are going nowhere except to LL very quickly,Id rather have that later rather than sooner tho, time for a change.

Paul Martin offered his resignation after the home cup defeat to Sunnybank and rightfully this was declined. John Brogan resigned after the Formartine home defeat and now we have to see if Brian Reid shall do the honourable thing and if not what the BoD shall do.

Would love to hear from the “it’ll be alright on the night” brigade who have jumped on even the remotest of criticism of the manager

The argument has, not too unreasonably been made as to who would/could take over as manager and actually improve things. I don't agree with that but the same argument certainly applies to the BoD - what candidates would a) want the job b) bring something to the party that isn't there

I’ve not been on here for a few weeks and didn’t watch the game today but the result speaks volumes for what’s going on at the club.
Taxi for Reid calls: although I agree with it, who will want to take a team that has nothing to offer? In Reid’s defence with regards to the team, he is only Batting with the ball he is being played. He’s playing with the budget that allows him to bring in a certain level of player, this season is the outcome of the boards ‘ambitions’.
In my opinion, the situation within the club runs far deeper than this season, it goes way back to the Brogan appointment, the chairman who appointed him. That chairman has managed to ‘get out’ of that position with out anyone really questioning his part in the mess at the club? We have had too many people running the club who are ‘ARFC minded’ people’, rather than have people who can run a business (at the end of the day the club is a business). Do these people understand or take ownership for the mess that they have put the club into, or is that ignored as they are/were ‘ARFC minded’?

Agree as well. The current chairman might as well be the invisible Man.

I fully understand comments about this running deeper and agree this sits with the majority shareholders and not the board that tie any board members hands behind their back. How can “businessmen” come into the Rovers when they are limited to what can be offered? This was encouraged but all the previous “businessmen” wanted to do was but the club further in debt. I thank the people that had stepped up to help the club stay afloat and ask where are YOU when help is required? Sorry that’s right hiding behind a forum,!!! Please feel free to input all your ideas and suggestions onto this post that would change the current situation?

Really unfair to expect people who work full-time and have a lot of other commitments to physically help out at the club. People contribute financially every other week.

I am not a business man and I am not qualified to run a business like a football club so my input into business decisions wouldn’t be any use. Nor, would I try and kid people on by taking a position within the club that I couldn’t provide anything to. However, I’d like to think that the games I have paid into over the years, the strips I have bought over the years, the go funding page I paid money into, the online streams and also the rovers lotto would be my way of trying to help the club out.... if it is not then everyone else who has done the same must be the same and we have not done anything to help the club. We must all hang our heads in shame then.

Anyone that has been involved at the Rovers within the last couple of seasons has done so to step up and help the club.
This is not because they were qualified to do so but took that extra step when there was no other option!
Believe me helping out on the board and the finances was not something that I thought I would do but when there was no one else then I did. Believe me I lost a number of hours sleep over this and I would chat with Ronnie at 4am about money and what we were left with this is something that will live with me forever and for people to come on board and have a dig at people trying is unbelievable when there was no alternative.
I have spared you so much anxiety that I and others took on board at that time and for what some keyboard warrior to come on a forum!
Please let me know Paul, Jordan, Peter or anyone else what the board can do when the shareholders veto any changes to the current circumstance?

If the manager goes, and from the comments on here it appears to be the consensus, I think a player/manager would be a good option.
Money is clearly tight but perhaps a senior pro looking for an opportunity to begin a managerial role whilst still playing could be the solution.
I have said before and still believe there are some good players in there that could achieve more . For whatever reason its just not happening.
