In relation to current and previous recent boards I want to thank them for stepping up and taking the club on because without them there would not be a club

The Buckie boss makes a fair point in the end it wasn’t a shock. I would say Rovers had two of the best chances in the first half one was after about 5mins if it had gone in who knows but that would merely paper over the cracks

It is ironic that the only league clubs no longer in the cup are Brechin and Albion Rovers - sums up both our seasons - we cannot bear to be be apart from each other - a bit like the Morecombe and Wise of Scottish football - hopefully someone will bring us some sunshine in the next few months.

Wholesale changes eh! Who signed them? Start by looking in a mirror, Reid! 😒

Wholesale changes eh! Who signed them? Start by looking in a mirror, Reid! 😒 I do note that in every post match interview he is not slow at highlighting deficiencies in the players. He brought them in , he trains them and he picks the team. The team are clearly low on confidence and I doubt very much any of them are unaware that things are going badly, being castigated in public is not helping them going by the results . The only thing that is likely to change will be the loan players as the club has no money to attract unsigned or transfer listed players. A loanee space is available now Gabe is back at Ayr so I suspect the centre halfs lined up will take that place. Would not be surprised to see other loan options explored.

I know that this is left field, but down here on a highlights show, Coatbridge born Chris Iwelumo stated he had done his badges and is looking at getting a chance somewhere, an ex-Scotland International would attract a few new signings. Has anyone thought of approaching him. Maybe you could persuade him on the hometown angle. You will probably say I am mad, but could be worth a go???

Brechin are still below us in the League BTW 🤣🤣 Might save us this year, but what about next year or the year after? I don't have answers, but something needs to change as we will inevitably fail to escape one year and I wouldn't bet on us returning again. Structure and manager that can get us wins here and there required somehow.

A decent shout however I’m not sure of his knowledge of L2 football. I wouldn’t hold your breath on the Board sacking the manager and by the looks of it the manager has no intentions of budging. Looks like we’ll trundle on to another defeat against QP.

Silas
I thought Rovers were the marginally better side at HT, so to be 2 down was at best unfortunate.
Two good chances missed at vital times, can not make my mind up whether to blame the wind or our keeper for the first, what do you think happened at the second, OG?
Second half, the further the game went, the less Rovers were in it.
Best of luck in the next round.

Yet another reality check in what is proving to be a sobering season. Didn’t expect us to win, but to ship 3 goals at home (with no reply) is nothing short of appalling. At least Brechin put up a fight...
Interesting to see the tired old ‘I’ve done more for the club’ line being bandied about. Those who have ‘stepped up’ have, overwhelmingly, had more time on their hands than the average fan and I’d like to think that, if I was able to help out at Cliftonhill more often owing to retirement/reduced work commitments, I’d be there to help us survive.
I find it sad, actually, that actual competition exists between some fans in this regard. We know there are those who work tirelessly behind the scenes, but this is unsung hero effort is reflected up and down the country and ARFC are by no means unique.
Who decides what kind of help is more valuable, anyway? Flies in the face of the community ethos we’re trying to promote. Surely paying at the gate and buying a pie at HT is just as important as tidying the dressing room and being a ball ‘boy’?
I digress.
Simple conclusion? Reid has to go, our Chairman needs to give himself a shake and be more visible and open, and, without serious surgery, we could be doomed come the end of the season.
Grim.
