Anybody else a bit concerned that the Cowden v Rovers match which was postponed back on 21st November hasn't been rescheduled and we haven't heard anything of the supposed SPFL investigation into this?
Between 1 and 7 payers tested positive for Covid depending on which media outlet you believe and of course the Hamilton Accies Betfred match the previous Saturday was also scrapped ad a 3-0 win awarded to the South Lanarkshire side.
After the punishments for Kilmarnock and St. Mirren for Covid breaches which they are now appealing, £40,000 suspended fines and 3-0 wins awarded to their opponents anything vaguely similar for Rovers would be potentially catastrophic. Cowden are 1 point above us at present.
Surely part-time clubs must be given some more slack than full-time as players have to juggle work, family and football.

I think it hinges on if the club have broken any protocols

There was no investigation mentioned and rules are different for premiership clubs compared to the other 30,
There was 1 positive case but 7 had to isolate

Perhaps one for Jaydee to clarify?

I'm sure Jaydee will take the 5th on this due to patient confidentiality. In addition who knows if the compliance officer searches social media for evidence. I'm pretty certain the SFA will know exactly what the course of action and plan will be.

Hardly asking for names, dates, and copies of their results FFS! Just curious, is all.

Perhaps one for Jaydee to clarify? More than 1 and less than 7 of the playing staff tested positive. At least 1 of those contracted it outwith the club from a family member.

My understanding is that the SPFL hold an investigation into any match postponed due to Covid related circumstances. Therefore our match against Cowdenbeath will be no different. I’m sure our club secretary and safety officer will have submitted the necessary information and then it’s up to the relevant SPFL committee to decide the outcome and any sanctions if that’s necessary. The committees at SPFL rarely move quickly and the appeals lodged by Killie and St Mirren could delay a decision on our case. I would hope that the fact that all our players are part time and operate in very different circumstances to full time teams would be taken into account. My hunch would be that the game is played with a warning being given over some aspects of the rules.

I wonder what will happen if 'Sellick' are forced to call off any matches after their glamour trip to Dubai? 0-3 loss? Aye rite!! Watch this space...

Dubai added to list of countries you have to isolate for 10 days on return from today backdated to January 3rd. Assume this will apply to the aforementioned Sellick?

One would think so. Would be very ironic if the 'Glasgow giants' caused the closure of the whole season. Who do they think they are? Unbelievably crass behaviour to jet off into the sunshine.

Oh good grief. Season finished I reckon. Meanwhile the 'elite' teams continue to rake in their Sky TV cash for matches. FFS.
