Still don't understand the rationale behind 22 games, what does it achieve? 18 games whilst not perfect gives a home and away for every team and a balanced if reduced season. The cramming in of the extra games with the additional issues around lack of fitness and potential non availability of players due to work commitments for the abundance of midweek games seems ludicrous to me,smaller clubs with tight squads are likely to suffer the most. The last thing Rovers need are more opportunities for Brechin to pick up points ! As for the promotion / playoffs from Highland and Lowland leagues, looking at it impartiality i can understand why they want at least the opportunity to put a team forward as missing out for two seasons does seem harsh. How they come to a conclusion on who that is well that's for them to decide Rovers just need to finish above Brechin!! Agree, especially with your last point. No point in crying after the vote where all clubs agreed. We just need to concentrate in getting away from the relegation play off. I have to say even if we avoid the play off this season I’m not optimistic in our chances of avoiding in next season. The money clubs in L2 and LL are spending is frightening.

Indeed the money is really a different level to the budget many league 2 and even league 1 operate at. That's why I think they will push for a promotion. I think the teams in lower leagues are looking at several league 2 teams as easy pickings. I certainly agree that even if avoided this season then Rovers will be in the mix next year. That's where it seems a strange position the club have taken to essentially fill the team with loans or older players . Not exactly building for the future

Not exactly building for the future Loan signings are more and more prevalent for lots of clubs. A club like the Rovers tend to lose their better players at the end of the season and release the ones who haven’t performed. It’s a tough gig.

When clubs like ours are constantly fighting for survival it's very difficult to build anything as you are constantly fighting to survive. Foundations then are nigh on impossible to lay. Very difficult scenario for those at the helm I'm afraid.

I appreciate that however is that approach sustainable or delaying the inevitable?

I appreciate that however is that approach sustainable or delaying the inevitable? Sustainable if you have the finance and foundations. The inevitable may be a consequence of that, hopefully not.🤞

It needs to be kept in mind that a relegation playoff hasn't quite been agreed to
The spfl will look at the teams nominated and decide if there are viable grounds to hold a playoff,
If I were the team from the lowland league I wouldn't hold my breath and bank on being allowed to enter the playoff after not playing half of my games

And there shouldn't be. It hasn't been earned. As for the pyramid it only works if money is distributed fairly and not kept at the top of the pyramid for the already minted.

But but, massive club Kelty! They are loaded; so we must agree with them!! (Where does all their cash come from: can we get some?)

Brora have now officially been declared Highland League champions. Surely no legitimacy can credibly be taken from winning 3 games and being champs, not least when others haven’t kicked a ball at all.
