Ive had to take some time off from the forum with Rovers having no matches and my 1st team (Leicester City) going great guns down here.
Just watching the first half of Rovers v Edinburgh....theres three problems that stand out for me.
1) Attack the ball from corners! the defending from corners is so passive. Terrible goal to concede. Just attack the ball, at least jump and try and put the opponent off. Too often there is too much panic at the back from set pieces.
2) Going back to front too quickly. Said this at the beginning of the season. It is just impossible to create chances like this, the forwards are always outnumbered and cant hold onto the ball long enough for players to get up in support. In my opinion the lads MUST learn to CALM DOWN and build up the play SLOWER!
3) Related to point 2, but Rovers are conceding the middle of the pitch. Need to get a solid two banks of four shape without the ball.

You have to give credit where credit is due, the pass for the 2nd Edinburgh goal was De Bruyne-esque

I dont know whether its just simply a case of.....the lads give everything they can. Theyre just not very good.
It was encouraging to see no ones head went down after the early goal and 2nd half there was plenty of character and effort. I do think there is a tendency to go forward too quickly too soon which leaves the midfield in no mans land and the strikers isolated, but they made the most of the balls up to them.
Set piece defending is a massive concern. Thought Edinburgh had good control of the ball in the 1st half so for the score to be just 1 wasnt dreadful. Having got the equaliser i thought Rovers would carry the momentum to get the winner especially after the fantastic save at the other end. But wasnt to be.

It was better from Rovers tonight, than the stenny game, but we should of got a point, we need wins soon, or Rovers will be going down the way things are going.

I don't care about Brechin's results either.
Decent performance at times tonight but really annoying too, both goals conceded were just too soft.

Seems a better performance tonight. Going by the manager’s logic if Edinburgh hadn’t scored two goals we would have won 1-0. Next!

Sorry, didn't know football had restarted in lower leagues in Scotland so didn't know game was on.
Are you allowed fans now or not?

Much better performance tonight from Rovers. Definitely deserved at least a point. All the players were gutted at the end and gave 100%. Certainly gives me hope for Saturday. Great to see the passion from backroom staff with one getting booked. Was it Jason? Onwards and upwards.

Eloquent, honest and insightful. Good job, chaps.

Check the fixture list at albionroversfc.com/ 2 games back so far. Busy weeks ahead. No fans, although looked like there were a few on the hill! Welsh guy I worked with has just left to go back to Wales, South Wales, which I thought was brave if not foolhardy, his parting shot was go to Paris and win the 6 Nations for us.
