The last competitive meeting of Rovers & Killie was 30th March 1974 when Rovers lost 3-1 at Rugby Park in the old, old, division 2. We played them 4 times that season, losing 3 and winning 1.
Rovers win was in the quarter-final of the league cup 2-0 at Cliftonhill, we lost the 2nd leg 5-2.
Our most famous clash was of course in front of 97500 at Hampden on 17th April 1920 when Rovers lost the Scottish Cup final 3-2.

Seem to remember someone telling me years ago that the attendance at the 1920 cup final was a record for a Scottish final that didn't contain an old firm team. Not sure just how many of those type of finals there have been. I'm pretty sure there is a stato out there who can confirm one way or another
