Tough game tonight - think it was always going to be a come down after Saturday where the guys put everything into what was a tough away trip to get a result and effectively got us over the line.
We still had our chances and could have been 1 up just before they scored which might have galvanised us a bit. Didn't think they were up to much either probably similar to us coming off a big win at the weekend, but in the end the quality of their squad got them the edge.
I think the players will be glad to see the back of these 2 games a week they look pretty shattered but you have to say amazing work and (miracle withstanding)job done.
Would love to see us finish 6th but I think the most important thing now is with League Status assured and a bit of positivity about the club NOW is the time to start the planning for next season. I know we wont be able to keep most of our loan guys but some of the younger boys i would sign up now as they have shown with the right experience beside them they are decent players at this level.

I thought that Stranraer looked that bit stronger than us, a good team it has to be said and wouldn’t surprise me one bit if they get promoted. It’s disappointing to lose especially after a good run but that’s a good thing - we have raised our standards and we need to bounce back now. Interesting to see how we react to a defeat in our next game as we still have a good bit to play for.

I don't agree that the commentary was excessively critical of our side, they were just realistic about how much better Stranraer passed and kept the ball. I do think it detracts somewhat from the appreciation of watching live when the commentary is a bit ahead of the action, so that a goal is called before the lad has even pulled his leg back to shoot.

I'll give one example. Rovers had a decent shot on goal but straight at the keeper who held it comfortably. The player was castigated with he made the wrong decision and it was a poor shot. Later Stranraer had a similar effort and again held by our keeper without having to move. The comments. Great shot and unlucky not to score. Felt like it was a stranraer feed with their commentary I was listening to. Be realistic yes but not to the point of supporting the other side. Not impressed. Sorry.

FFS jimbo, these are not professional commentators. They are normal guys who are probably trying to make it better than it actually is.

Aye but they are also rovers supporters. Just looking for at least a fair balance. Just felt they were overly critical of our own players while the opposite for stranraer. Will mute next time and maybe myself as well! 👍🤐 Wee aside. The advertiser says we were playing stenny last night!! Proofreading anyone!🙄
