Getting this going earlier than usual this week.
First league game of the season for the MIGHTY 'Vers😁
We performed very well in our group games in the League Cup.
This will be a very hard game against last season's League 2 Champions however I reckon we'll sneak it 2-1!
C'MON THE MIGHTY 'VERS!!!

EF will be a tough nut to crack- Naysmith has built a decent team who will be buoyed by raising the flag. Our defence is good but our strikers aren't quite firing on all cylinders yet.
EF 2-0 Rovers. Sorry

going to be a very hard game tomorrow, we struggled against EF in our league winning campaign, and they will be in high spirits as they raise their championship winning flag, both teams performed well in the league cup groups, it will be a tight game, im going to say 1-1

A draw of any sort will do me to get us on the board. a win would be great but I'd settle for a point the now.

I go for a draw in this one, East fife is a boggy team to Rovers, and this wont be an easy season to with the teams coming into this league.

Ross Stewart(goalkeeper) refuses to leave his line.We need a new, dominant keeper immediately or we are going to lose a lot of needless points.East Fife did their homework and sussed this out.

Rovers need to do much better than that from today, but a point is better than nothing to get us on the points table, and its not just the goalkeeper to blame, some of the Rovers player need to get it together and help the stickers

Good result and glad our strikers are starting to get on the scoresheet. Good crowd as well - over 900 at the game

Think we would all have taken a point before this game it was EFs flag day and no doubt they would be up for it - remember our flag day last year - what happened - we horsed the hot favourites Ayr

Decent performance and result yesterday. Very difficult going to last season's League 2 Champions on their flag day.
Unfortunate for Ross with the OG but these things happen.
Onwards and upwards!

Two superb dead balls from a very decent player in Lamont - even more annoying was we were probably going to sign him on the Thursday but East Fife 'poached' him on the Tuesday night. very decent away point - great wee day out. Yes enjoyed the day out and thanks for advice to take my jacket!.As you say - was 2 great crosses from a very decent player.I had heard that myself yesterday, that we nearly signed him - would have been an excellent addition. With regards to Ross, every game I've seen he doesn't inspire confidence in his back line - and a few fans from our side said this also.In saying that -it's all about opinions and he worries me!-just my thoughts!

The fact is we have been murder at defending crosses into the box since last season. Look at the highlights of any of the games from last year and you'll see what I mean. It baffles me because apart from that we're quite good in the air. If a long ball is punted forward, Mick wins it in the air virtually every time. At our set piece routine of 'ball into the back post' - Mick wins it pretty much every time. For some reason though we don't get our act together when defending straightforward balls into the box, never mind "superb" ones!
