Rovers first team haven't played at the Falkirk Stadium and Edinburgh City may be back at the newly rebuilt Meadowbank Stadium so those could be interesting places to go. I believe that Rovers were first to play at Meadowbank Stadium when Meadowbank Thistle joined the league in the 70's.

Reckon that's an excellent draw. Agree David, would be great to visit the Falkirk Stadium & possibly Meadowbank too.

No top flight teams eh, didn't realise that was possible - I presume it goes by last season's rankings (hence Accies)?

Indeed DH for some obscure reason it’s last years rankings that count!

I believe that Rovers were first to play at Meadowbank Stadium when Meadowbank Thistle joined the league in the 70's. Correct. It was a League Cup match on Friday, 9 August 1974 and was Meadowbank's first competitive match as a league club. The crowd was put at 'more than 4,000' and was never subsequently exceeded, so it was a record crowd for Meadowbank home match. Rovers won 1-0 (should have been more) with a 2nd half goal by Peter Dickson. Pre-match and half-time entertainment was provided by Wanda the Go-Go Girl; wouldn't be allowed nowadays (quite rightly). Rovers line up: Shuggy Graham, Denis McConville, Davie Main, Bert Rice, Dunky Shields, Jim Montgomery, John Brogan, Tommy Sermanni, Peter Dickson, John o'Conner, Jimmy Coughlin. Sub: Pat Smyth (came on for Brogan).

I was at that game, arrived after kick off and spent much of the first half thinking that the team in yellow was Rovers, who were in white, as from where I was sat, I couldn't identify players! Eventually, it dawned, I recognised John Brogan & Jim Coughlin. I enjoyed Peter Dickson's goal ....and, yes, Wanda the wonder Girl!
