Another highly satisfactory performance from the Reserves, this time against Forth Wanderers at Dalziel Park this afternoon, with a double from winger Julien Kouame the difference between the teams in a game dominated by the Rovers side. A second clean sheet in a row was testament to another solid display by Chris Smith and the Back 4, while Paul Fee, in the first half with Mark Doran and in the second with Daniel Moran, dominated in midfield. In attack, the ever busy Ryan Devine’s link play was outstanding and Kouame posed a real threat throughout with his pace, clever running with the ball and his clinical finishing. With all substitutions made, Chris Smith had to go up front for the last 15 minutes, where he played well and came close to scoring twice - a fine header saved and an effort when one-on-one with the goalkeeper which sneaked past the post.
Team: Smith; Moran, Fernie, Greenwood, Guy (Fell); Fee, Doran (Watt); Kouame, Devine, McVey (Sandberg), Hart (White).
