Think it's more a case of the club can't afford it, The programme lost somwhere in the region of £800 if I remember correctly 2 years ago, and that season was cut short due to covid, Also that was with everyone working on it being volunteers The losses were because it was a 28 page all colour programme. If it was a 12 page black and white programme, it would make a profit (+ even more with player sponsorship). I gather that something might be in the pipeline - here's hoping!

Just wondering if there have been any further developments on the match programme front?

At the last trust meeting we decided it was a goer as a company was in place to produce it and we decided the Kelty game was the target to produce the first one. Since then I've heard nothing and at least one of the previous production team has also heard nowt.

There were a number of people asking if there was a programme before the game on Saturday.

Hibs are the latest club to scrap a match day programme- from what I’m reading it’s a digital only version they are doing.
Any more news on the Rovers programme. Looks to me as if a programme for this season is s no goer.
Edited - Looks like Hibs are issuing a quarterly magazine

Match day programme or quarterly magazine?
Bought a 'magazine' at Peterhead, felt cheated, not overly relevant to Rovers game that day, very difficult to get the balance right.
As before, happy to write historic articles for the programme, magazine if I must.

I think it's somthing that's too expensive for the club to run.... As I've said before - IT ISN'T. The 28 page all colour programme we've been doing may well be too expensive - but a back to basics, fewer pages (12 would do) black and white programme, player sponsorship on the middle pages, would make a profit.

I like the program being there I didnt make it clear enough sorry I think it shouldn't be the club but agree with Jordan it's the Trust who should do it The supporters trust have been and are willing to facilitate the programme. However, I’ll reiterate the same message as before we need volunteers. Stephen McEean worked tirelessly over the year designing and editing the programme and for that we are extremely grateful. Stephen is no wtaking a well deserved break. To make the programme a success we need the following volunteers; 1. Designed and editor of content 2. Someone to place the order/arrange the payments with the printer 3. Someone to take receipt of the programmes and deliver them to the ground on match days, getting them delivered directly to the ground isn’t the best approach 4. Programme sellers 5. Someone to bank the sales 6. Engaging with National Library of Scotland to ensure they get their two copies per print run, we have someone who does this and hopefully they will kindly continue I’ve tried to break down the various tasks so no one person thinks they would have to be responsible for everything programme related. A lot of people have been in touch to offer articles etc. I’ll keep an eye out on this thread for volunteers putting their names forward.
