Thanks, guys, a `team` is needed off the park, as much as one on it.

Just a few queries. I noticed this guy is not on the list, he was appointed in January albionroversfc.co.uk/rovers-appoint-commercial-director/ He came in with a blaze of publicity and he seems to have left without a whimper, his departure has never been announced nor where the others that Grant mentioned, what happened to him? I'm just curious. He didn't last long and who is Lorraine Simpson and what does her new role involve in the boardroom? Great job on updating the list on the official site Tee and thanks for clearing things up Ronny but as Grant alluded to earlier it would be good if us fans were notified of changes to the BOD on the message board within days of directors resigning and not having to find out through the grapevine! Peace Out! Edit to add - Good to see Eddie returning as a Director. Great appointment.

I'm pretty sure Lorraine Simpson is not on the BOD's as a director. Lorraine was nominated as a trust representative on 21st June during a trust meeting in which I was present. This was proposed by Gordon Lind and seconded by Ronnie Boyd. Ronnie held the post of Trust representative until being elected as the new chairman. Unfortunately Lorraine was unable to accept the position as she wanted to concentrate on sales etc... etc... At the last meeting, again I was present (held on the 4th of August) Eddie haggerty suggested at the next trust meeting (which will be held sometime in Sept) that a proposal for a new trust representative be appointed to fulfil Ronnie's previous post. The reason behind this is for the trust to have some representation at board level. Eddie intimated he'd like to be considered for this role. In regards to Tommy Adams, Tommy carried out a lot of work in Ayrshire, promoting Whitlett Vics (Junior side) as well as Kilmarnock FC. In addition, he was a part time DJ. He felt that he couldn't make a permanent commitment to contribute to Albion Rovers and fulfil other obligations and commitments for clubs in Ayrshire. Lew McWilliams? Did he not resign back in 2011? I have never heard of that name in any trust meetings or anywhere linked with ARFC at this present time. At the end of the day, let's get behind the players and ignore the in's and out's of the board. Yes it's important but at this current time I would be more concerned with the run of results onwards and upwards and let's beat Peterhead next saturday and get 3 points on the board:) (oh and obviously get through the next round of the cup) hehe just for some clarification,Lew MacWilliams is I understand ,the Honary President of the Club and he is in my fav piccy, carrying out teh trophy when we won the league, as for Lorraine Simpson, I think as Chairman, Ronnie Boyd woudl know who is fellow directors are...onwards and upwards

Concern

If people have concerns then why not attend meetings and voice your opinions?
Voicing concerns over a public forum is not the best thing to do. The media would write anything to fill their pages. (people may laugh at this but its a known fact)
Backroom staff at the club are very approachable and I would recommend contacting them directly with any concerns you may have. I made that mistake on a thread months ago and I got the answers face to face with a board member. He helped me understand the issue I had.

As Tee has said Tommy Adams left the club due to practicalities like travel etc. Tommy will always be a friend of the club and we wished him well when he left. Tommy was the Commercial Manager but was never on the BOD. And as Charlie said Lew is Honorary President of the club and a really helpful sounding board on all Rovers related matters.

I don't think people realise the amount of work the trust and the board fo Ronnie. I agree !! I would not wish to be a Director...how they even try to make ends meet! it looks like a lot of pressure, stress and hassle...with little back in return..so I salute Ronny and Co
