Ooops – it would seem that in my attempt to encourage you along to walking football, I made too light of the exercise and physical nature of the activity.
Walking Football is just like the real beautiful game but with a few different rules.
The main ones are:
1. If you run - you concede a free kick to the other side 2. Complete ban on slide tackling – thus avoiding injuries 3. There are NO goalkeepers 4. The ball must never be kicked above head height
Walking football promotes cardiovascular fitness but with less stress on your body! We have a few brave Rovers signed up – why not join us at 6.15pm tomorrow night and have a go. It’s free for the first 4 weeks. No need to book just come along to the stadium.

Heard it went really well last night. I’m going to give it a go next week attracted by the fact that running and slide tackles are banned. That and the chance of showing my skills on the hallowed turf.
