I thought you would be interested in a wee update on how your Community Trust is supporting ARFC and building community.
Since signing an agreement with the Club in June 2019, the Community Trust has contributed a total over £15000 in cash, goods and upgrades to environment. I shared this info with our Trustees and then with the Directors at a BoD meeting this month. Needless to say, people were amazed and delighted in equal measure with this news. It clarifies why it is so important to have a thriving community trust with charitable status who not only support the community but put much needed resource into the club we love.
We sponsored season books, created and furnished the Hall of Fame in the lounge, refurbished the portacabin to create as community hub as well as shop on match days with full disabled access, created a community pitch behind the Coatbridge goals and of course, we pay our way for every club, camp etc we run.
This isn’t the end; we still have more to contribute before this year is out. We have had a two-day camp with more camps and festivals to follow. Full day camps across a year raise more than £2500 for the club. Our new Football for All sessions generate £30 per hour for the Club and as we keep promoting them we think they will be very successful.
It’s a pity the tag line “every little helps” has already been taken don’t you think?
Best wishes
Isabelle

I understand that it is very much a team effort, but the work carried out by the community trust under your stewardship Isabelle is incredible and greatly enhances the club’s reputation.
