No we don't want troublemakers who trash our clubs reputation. I stood up for them last week against a steward, criticised them for the graffiti incident and behaviour early season and again at the weekend. There were a number of issues brought up not just the racism. Unacceptable.
Please folks, for the sake or our football club, stop this vendetta into this group of supporters. They are far from perfect but who is? If someone standing next to me makes a racist comment is it my fault. NO.
No excuse for it and it will teach every fan that racism is unacceptable.
These young fans are the future for our club. They enjoy matches. Make it enjoyable for the team too. I love to see them and yes, they need to be managed but, the older members of the group need to take more of a leadership role.
Some of the so called adults on this board need to think carefully before they respond to messages. Heat of the moment responses can be very damaging. And don't I know it from my past hasty comments so I'm just as guilty.
Let's allow the authorities to take appropriate action on the person responsible. I would hope that education is part of the solution for whoever was responsible.
I for one will still welcome these fans in Forfar on Saturday with open arms.
Finally, I must say it takes a lot for me to shed a tear for this beloved club but I did so yesterday upon reading these comments.
Please get me the no. for forums anonymous!
Curious to know what you were shedding a year for. If it's the behaviour of the ultras and the fact that it's all over the media or the "say it to my face" comments then fine. If it's criticism of the ultras by regulars then why. Some of their antics are unwelcome and need tackled.
Just a statement on whats been happening this week, following the days after the incident the group have been cooperating with the board to find the person responsible, on Wednesday a young fan messaged us saying he had heard someone admit to it in the days after the game and gave a couple of names that he believed it came from and also showed pictures of them at the game, later on that day another young fan (unrelated to the first one) came and gave the same names and a description, we then went to the board and gave the names over and it is now being investigated, the boys whos names we were given were unknown to us, they have no affiliation to the group, since then a few others have said they heard them shout very offensive things (though not anything racist) none of us had heard of them until the 2 young fans had told us about them, though they were standing next where the group usually congregate on Saturday (closer to where I was than to where the group was tbh) we would just like to say that we have been cooperating with the board from the start of all of this and hope it can be resolved soon, we are happy to see a lot of fans saying they would not agree with a blanket ban for all of us over one idiots actions, an idiot we didnt even know of until a few days ago, as the boys are pretty heartbroken at the thought of not being allowed to return to Cliftonhill, not to mention a few members have said they have recieved private messages on social media asking if they are a racist etc. from complete strangers, it is becoming a dangerous situation for some of the lads......as I said, it is being looked into by the club now and hopefully it can be resolved sooner rather than later 👍🏼💛❤
