Shock ! Horror ! Peter has us playing like the 1970 Brazil team 🤣🤣
In all seriousness I wasn’t at the game but it looked as if we were doing quite well but it looks to me as if we have a gie soft centre with an almighty last 10 minute collapse.
Anyone else worried that we have been playing well (in general) but still getting beat ?

I agree, Peter.
As a witness to the events, Peter, you are entitled to comment, Bucky, you are not.

Having seen Peter's opinions on games I have myself attended, I remain to be convinced that attendance itself lends any credibility to views expressed. Just saying, like.

This was a better performance than I expected and I did feel we might be heading for a penalty shoot out. An inspired move by Cove to bring on Adeyetyo which tilted the match in their favour along with yule who posed a threat on the stand side.
Impressive work rate of Wilson (No7) and o'Donnell also. Our goal taken well.
We all noticed Peter sneaking away to catch strictly lol
Let's get Elgin City sorted out next week

I love this message board. If you actually skim through the comments before you are properly away you can convince yourself that actually it was Rovers that won 4-1 and the ref was a homer for allowing 90 minutes of play instead of 80.

Aye, too many deluded people. And before you start I wasn't there because my private helicopter was under maintenance! 😉

There are a group on here who try and gaslight any form of criticism on or off the park. The thing is from the games I have seen we have in the main played well but have still been beaten. We have had a torturous run of away games which isn’t over yet but could conceivably end with us being bottom of the league and out the cup. Anyway best concentrate on a massive game against Elgin next week with the news that one of our best midfielders has left the club. There’s something not quite right this now with the club.

We played better than we have until the first goal went in, we tried to come out and opened up after that
After that Megginson and McAlister showed their class
A harsh scoreline but believable one, however I can't complain with Lewis and callum wilson putting in shifts and being up against a team with the class of cove

One thing I will complain about is the lack of leadership being shown by the Board of Directors,
Only 2 traveled to the game at the weekend, Mr. Haggerty and Mr. Benton.
I would like to know why the rest couldn't be bothered.
Guys you are in a possition where you are in charge of the club and not for the first time you are showing a complete lack of respect for it.
Being on the board you should attend nearly all the games yet over the last few weeks few have with probably Ian and Eddie being the only 2 to attend all 3 games in the last 3 weeks.
If you want to be involved at the club attending games is a minimum, its the easiest way to show support for the team and you should be there to show support for the fans, a few of whom have now travelled 700 miles in 3 weeks.
It's a poor show from all involved and adding this to some of the people who have left the club recently its obvious some of the board aren't willing to put in the effort the club deserves and demands,
I fully believe if people aren't willing to go that extra mile they should be stepping down

I would share the opinion there is an expectation of board members as ambassadors of Albion Rovers FC to be activily attending all matches, where practical.
Recent departees from the board and another, non board member standing down from assisting the board raises a concern that all is not well. I hope I am wrong though, as we all have the clubs best interests at heart.

Only watched the first half before heading to Hampden. Listened to the rest via the commentary.
From what I saw we played a lot better , especially at the back (turns out playing a left back at left back is a good tactic) , seemed to create a bit more going forward with the two new loanees adding a bit of energy.
Not watched back the second half yet but I can imagine Lewis having to go off injured will have had some effect on the scoreline. As soon as teams notice we are a bit weak down that side they target us every single week.
a valiant 1-0 loss against two of the most prolific strikers in Lower League history would have been at least a source of some optimism but a 4 goal collapse does worry me.

I agree with what the other atendees say and we did do well up until the 1st goal.

I totally agree with the comments from Chris and Hugh regarding directors. Speaking of directors and the board, still waiting on the outcome of the investigation on the fans behind the goals. Any update? I fear we are really risking their chant coming true... "Is this a library?" Unless we turn over a new leaf with quick decisions (no pun intended) 😂. That's why you become a director after all. And regarding the comments about the scoreline, yes it was 4 - 1 but really a penalty shoot out would've been just reward from the effort the whole team put in. If we put in the same effort against Elgin, we will send them homeward with no points.
Peter (the realistic optimist)

Let's hope the decent football we play at times brings its warranted rewards. As for the investigation, suspect it's being held up by problems identifying the individual because one party is indeed a library with regards to revelation!
