As the Cliftonville area of Coatbridge where the Exsel Group Stadium aka Cliftonhill is situated, has been named the 8th most deprived area in Scotland surely Rovers could get some sort of extra cash from the UK/Scottish governments, EU and/or the Coooncil to improve the facilities? Read the story here!

Who does these surveys at all?? I can't believe Costa del cliftonville has made the top 10 or whatever it is. Nonsense. Far more deprived areas than that throughout Scotland !!!!! In my opinion of course.

It does say who has produces the figures.
"The Scottish Government has released the figures in a publication, called the Scottish Index of Multiple Deprivation (SIMD), which looks at a variety of factors and resources in communities across Scotland."

Cliftonville is actually north of murihall Street (where coatdyke train station is) and a pretty decent area. South of that, where the ground is, is Cliftonhill area. Both areas combined make up the area of Clifton.
there are far more deprived areas in coatbridge never mind Scotland, sykeside greenend and kirkwood to name a few.
Only reason I can think of is they have included Jackson Street flats in this but I think technically 2 of them (high coats and Dunbeth court) are in dunbeth area of coatbridge

If you enter a Cliftonhill postcode it comes up 1519 and a Cliftonville postcode comes up 3311 on the list so don't know where they came up with the top 10

As a resident of Cliftonville, I can confirm the deprivation over the past year has increased due to Khan putting 10p on his Buckfast, and John McKennas chip van breaking down, in doing so depriving us of a proper nutritional meal and causing dehydration during the summer.
