A thought about boosting attendances. I remembered Edinburgh City had a scheme if a supporter of Hibs/Hearts produced a season book at the gate they got a concession price. I had a Google there and found the below. It would be worth knowing if it had an effect for city in 2016/17 season. "03/08/2016 Hearts and Hibs season tickets holders Edinburgh City can confirm that supporters of both Heart of Midlothian and Hibernian Football Clubs who attend our home league games and produce their season ticket for their respective clubs at the gate will be permitted entrance for a concession price for that game, please note this is for full paying adults only, normal concession prices will still be applicable for the over 65's, U18's and U12's." Was about to post something similar, slightly different circumstances but I know that East Stirlingshire have offered a discounted season ticket for Falkirk season ticket holders since moving in there. Most weekends home or away Celtic and /or Rangers play on a Sunday, so you could conceivably get a few hundred extra if they are incentivised to come.

Great post Jordan, on the community club stuff, have we looked into lottery funding to help with providing more and better facilities to help us continue and expand our community reach? Getting more kids involved at football in the stadium could help create more fans for the future đđź
Also going to the schools and giving free tickets to school kids (who cannot come alone obviously) is a great incentive to get people on the door, a parent or guardian has to come with them and would need to buy their own ticket to do so.

There must be clubs - Arbroath, Motherwell come to mind- that have increased attendances over the last few years. We should learn from there experiences and apply it at the San Siro.

Jaydee A few points: firstly, the club cannot apply for lottery funding as it is a limited company. Lottery money was used by the Cliftonhill100 group and the Community Trust to put a ramp into the Community Hub/ Club Shop at the cost of ÂŁ4500. This enhanced accessibility and is a positive move in the eyes of the NLC and the SFA. Community Trust money paid for the upgrade of the lounge area: new seating, lighting and decoration. The club and Community Trust have being giving out kids tickets for years to local schools. The blanket giving out of tickets you suggest doesn't work (only 5 % uptake according to our analysis). Much more successful (30% uptake) is the approach taken by the Community Trust and that is to give out parent/kids tickets when the children are involved in an activity connected with Albion Rovers: kids holiday football camps, school stadium visits, Saturday morning mini Rovers, reading challenges, school coaching sessions etc. At our upcoming Spring Holiday camp kids will receive parents/child tickets which will add to the numbers and atmosphere at our potentially vital last 2 home matches. The Trust has worked tirelessly to support the club and our community over the last 2 years and has given ÂŁ16000+ to the club. This included ÂŁ800 last year to buy 40 junior season tickets which were then snapped up for free by our young fans. The work of the Community Trust and the financial support given were both highlighted by the BOD in their report at the recent AGM. The Trust recognises the support given by the club in making free parent /kids tickets for us to give out to participants at our many initiatives. It is disappointing that as a member of the football management team you seem to know little about and fail to recognise the work and impact of the Community Trust. To that end, you and other members of the coaching staff would be warmly welcomed to one of our meetings to learn more about the great work we do in support of club and community. Community Trustee

Community Trustee This is truly great work, something that the trust should be shouting from the rooftops so that fans like myself would know about it. Iâm sorry youâre disappointed that I donât know about the work you do, but anyone that knows me knows that if I had that information I would be celebrating with you on Social Media platforms etc. The truth is I donât even know if you are on Social Media? Sadly Iâm not a part of the football management team, and Iâm not sure that many management teams would be aware of all the work that community Trusts do, and thatâs a real shame. This is the first time Iâm seeing this information, so I sincerely thank you for taking the time to write such a comprehensive reply. Perhaps going forward yourself or another member of the Trust could come on to the board and update us after your meetings about what is happening or has happened over the time since the last update.

Ronnie Possibly I am, old age doesnât come alone Ronnie. đ but I wasnât aware (possibly forgotten) about the initiative regarding school kids and tickets. I 100% wasnât having a dig at the CT in any way, I am aware of how much hard work is being put in. Iâm just trying to ask questions to make us (as a club) think about other things we can do to MAXIMISE attendances and MAXIMISE income, if we are doing everything possible then thatâs fine đ¤ˇđ˝ââď¸ I havenât seen a programme in a long long time so wouldnât have seen any recent updates.

Community Trustee Just as a follow up to this point, so the club canât apply for Lottery Funding but the Community Trust has already been successful in applying for lottery funding? Has the CT then looked into further funding to provide more/better facilities for the community? The grass park simply isnât suitable for all the after school, school holiday and other brilliant initiatives that the CT are doing. I know there was talk of an artificial surface being put behind the Coatbridge end goals is this still happening? Apologies if these answers are available on other social media platforms, but feel the answers are better suited in here as the answers could be very important moving forward in relation to where we will be in 5 years time.

I hope that Eddie doesnât mind that I suggest a change to his title to Where Would We Like To Be in 5 Years and How Do We Plan To Get There. Maybe not as snappy as the original but possibly more accurately describes being proactive in planning how we reach where we want to get to.

I would like us still be in SPFL and be a community/ fan owned club owned club. Ronnie

That would be good, but anything like that would always be 'blocked by large shareholders'...

The jury is still out as far as fan owned clubs are concerned. The two best run part time clubs at the moment are Arbroath and Montrose IMHO
