Another one-time Rovers stalwart has left us - I only found out today that Tommy died on Tuesday night. Details a bit sketchy at the moment, but his health had not been great for some time. Tommy had lived in the south of England for many years but managed to get up for the odd match: he said to me at Somerset Park late last season it would probably be his last game. RIP, old pal.

So, so sorry to hear about Tommy`s death. I knew via facebook he hadn`t been great recently, but none the less his passing robs us of another stalwart.I met him in Worksop a few years ago when he was up doing a job for our local council and yes, he was not in the best of health - diabetes I believe. Who of us of a certain age can remember Tommy`s `war` cry - `Who beat the Falkirk 4-1`? RIP

Very very sad news and as mentioned before another one gone to soon. Will never forget the day he was giving Hugh Graham pelters behind the Coatbridge goal end, big Hughie turns round to respond to some of the advice that Tommy was giving him and the ball flew into the net...you couldn't have made it up. RIP Tommy

Tommy played centre forward for the supporters team. He scored an amazing amount of goals. Don't remember him doing much elsewhere on the park, but when he strolled into the penalty area the ball went to him and ended up in the net. When a forward is really good or really lucky or both then the ball will hit off their bum and land in the net. Tommy scored at least a couple off his bum but some crackers too. Don't think Tommy knew how he did it, none of the rest of us did either.
