Our beloved stadium is the venue for filming later this morning when the BBC Scotland soap River City take it over for filming. Their fictional side Shieldinch United are the centre of an episode and as they play in red and yellow our home is the ideal venue.
We understand that a few well known faces will feature in an on pitch section. Some Rovers players will be in each team and some premier players may also feature. The ref for this game shall be none other that Daniel Mossie, lets hope Hollywood doesn't notice him or we'll have Peter McClurg back on the Tannoy.
The episode will air in around a months time. I'm off to see if they need any extras for the crowd scenes!

Hmm you don't need overrated premier players. The football fans in training guys, the walking football players before that or the under 21s as a tribute to reaching the cup final will do nicely. Shieldinch United the new Kelty Hearts. What is today's date again π
