Not a hall of fame comment but any idea why it appears we are not having a supporters player of the year. 3rd year in a row without one - with obvious mitigating circumstances for year 1 and 2 to a lesser extent.

Great list, Bucky.
ARFC formed 1882, the early folk do not really get a look in, also if we are nominating from our own memory that is roughly 1970s onwards, that's a lot of individuals over a lot of time not getting a mention.
Next year, we should look at some way to reserve one of the nomination spaces for 1882-1970.

Work commitments and time constraints certainly for two or three of the supporters trust means we are really struggling to arrange. If it’s something you would like to volunteer to organise, by all means please do so, drop me a DM and I can let you know who to source the award from etc. Supporters trust would obviously reimburse the cost of the award to you.

There are too many recent/current people nominated for the HoF. You'd think the club had only been formed in the 1960s, forgetting that prior to that we were often in the top Division, getting to the Scottish Cup Final etc. Of course, this is because people are nominating those they have seen/can remember.
To repeat about Simon Scott:
- He was a founder member of the club in 1882 - Was instrumental in getting Rovers into the Scottish League - He played in every position for the team, usually as captain - Became Match Secretary, but still played in emergencies up to the age of 47 - Was on the first board of Directors in 1919 - remaining there for 20 years until 1939 (2 years before he died).
57 years service to the club at all levels. You'd be hard pressed to find anybody who has done more for Albion Rovers than this guy. If we can't have him in the Hall of Fame, there isn't much point point having one.

Simon Scott was also a professional Cricketer. [As was Tom Crosskey] Both should definitely be in there.
