Good luck to Cowdenbeath in the play off with Bonnyrigg Rose.Lets show the moneybag upstarts that div2 teams are made of sterner stuff.

Yes luck to the BB. Actually I don’t think you can aim the moneybags tag at Bonnyrigg. They are a very good outfit , if anything their current squad could be considered as ageing.

Looks like cowdenbeath are away. ☹️ Currently 2-0 to rose. Also looks like super ambitious full time Airdrie have blown it again. Aw the wee shame! 😁 Or maybe not. 4-4 and looking like extra time! I've jinxed it! Yep! Totally jinxed it! 6-4 Airdrie! What a final! Airdrie v Queen's Park! Groan! 😱

Just back from this game and it seems the stupidity of Cowden player Swann getting sent off for 2 yellows in a fairly short time span sunk the Blue Brazil. His 2 meaty challenges could have doomed his team, to the Lowland League as up to that point they were doing ok and then shipped the goals. It should have been at least 4 for Bonnyrigg as their man contrived to miss from 2 yards out and an open goal but he managed to direct the ball over the crossbar.
I really don't see Cowden coming back next Saturday but if they get the first goal you never know.
The crowd was 2202 and it's somewhat surprising the standard their ground is in meets the necessary criteria to join the SPFL. As grounds go it's ok I suppose but 3 sides of the ground have grass banking, they're are some crush barriers in the grass banking. There is little in the way of cover and very few seats.

Played there for Camelon and almost got caught out by the fairly steep slope at the shed end 🤣

Just shows how difficult it gets to stay in our division each year.
Can't see a 3 nil turnaround next week.
And what a result for Airdrie. Wow.👏👏

Good luck to Cowdenbeath, but think they are doomed.
Go Queens Park.
Go Annan. We took 9 points off Edinburgh City, and we were cheated out of a further point by See, hard to believe that they could go up.
Go Arbroath, always enjoyed a visit to Tutties Neuk.

If Bonnyrigg do come up lets hope for a level playing field next season. The Cove/Kelty scoot through the season weakened the competitiveness in the past couple of years - not forgetting the rejuvenated Queens Park. Dumbarton/East Fife may reel them in - lets also hope that we can more than match the top half next season and not be the Cowdenbeath of 2023 !

Just watched the highlights.
2nd booking leading to sending off was a joke. Forward tripped over defenders leg who was on the ground.
Penalty, another joke.
Oh dear.
BR certainly know how to manipulate a referee. Something to look forward to next season.

So Bonnyrigg Rose are in the SPFL next season after beating Cowden 1-0 at Central Park.
It was a penalty that gave them the goal for a 4-0 aggregate win of the tie. Apart from a couple of shots (one from Bobby Barr off the post) they didn’t seem to have much going for them.
A couple of ambulances drove round the terracing to at least one person who seemed most likely a Rose fan. I hope they’re ok!
