All Scottish matches this weekend have been cancelled due to the death of HM Queen.

Whats the traditional "away" end?
Think this season they'll be at the bottom part of the season. It's important we get a win and fingers crossed for one.
1-2 to the rovers.

Anybody want to go? I have three seats in my car, PM me by midday on Friday, when I will decide if my car is making the trip.
Would be happy with a 0-0 draw.

A distinct possibility I’d say DH.

Following meetings this morning, the Scottish FA, Scottish Professional Football League, Scottish Women’s Premier League, and Scottish Highland and Lowland Football Leagues have agreed that all professional football matches will be postponed this weekend as a mark of respect following the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

The Queen was not QE II in Scotland. In Scotland, she was Queen Elizabeth of Scotland, she is the one and only Elizabeth to have been Queen in Scotland. England had a first Elizabeth, Scotland did not. King Charles III will be OK, but King William, when it comes his turn, will be another monarch with number issues.

Surely Queenie would have wanted the games to go a head. You can still show maximum respect with minutes silence/black armbands etc.

Meanwhile all pubs are open and everything else goes on. Except sport. I don't get it at all.

Quite a reaction on Twitter against the football cancellation, some other sports are going ahead.

Whilst the nation is in mourning it is appropriate that there is a time of reflection and respect equally to our friends and neighbours who may be affected by what has just happened. As an ex servicemen I certainly appreciate a temporary pause but I do understand other opinions too.

I really do find the cancellation of football to be astonishing. Test match cricket goes ahead: no problem. Minutes silence before it: all fine. Why have all matches been cancelled? I simply don't get it.
