Without any consultation (as far as I’m aware) with us fans the Xmas Eve match at Annan has been changed to the Friday 23rd Dec at 7.45 k-o. The league say this is at the request of the clubs.
I think this is yet another sign of the malaise within the club and almost complete lack of consultation/communication. Also this announcement comes from the league as the club haven’t yet announced this.
The supporters trust had already agreed to run a bus to the game on the Saturday at £5 a head to help stretched finances of fans. I suspect that won’t go ahead now.

I would still be keen to go on the Friday. No big deal really.

More about the communication from the club in general. It really is poor and can only be to the detriment of of the club.

Many people have jobs which don't give them any time off at all at Christmas, for many years that was me. And others are still working up to and including the Friday too. I know of at least one Rovers fan who swapped their shift to get the 24th off work and now have no game to go to as they're working till early Friday evening.

I actually think it makes sense,
People with families may not attend a game on Christmas eve, I notice most Christmas eve games games have been moved,
It will also not suit most of the players,
Some people may miss out which is always unfortunate, but I honestly think there has never been a chance of this being played on the 24th
I actually applaud everyone on the early decision to move the game,
7 weeks notice

My main gripe is the complete lack of communication. The club still haven't advised us of this change and the website fixture list hasn't been altered and no cup games whatsoever or results of any matches have been put on the page either. Several clubs changed their fixtures to the Friday but they did it a quite a few weeks ago. I do hope that if the club intends (as some others have already done) bringing forward the 2nd January match which is home to Dumbarton to the free Saturday 10th December they inform us ASAP.
