Can someone enlighten whoever is responsible for the website that the whole idea is to keep it fresh and relevant. Tonight, after two great victories, it is still only showing a preview of last week's match. I know emergencies happen, and staff go on holiday etc. But this is our shop window and should be updated no matter what. With contingencies built in. If we can't scream from the rooftops after two great victories then heaven help us. I know many people are volunteers and we are grateful but please keep it up to date. Oh, on a more positive note, well done to the programme editorial and commercial team. Absolutely first class programme. Very relevant and a great read. Big thanks go to the salesman and women of the year, the Kelly family, whom for some strange reason, I enjoy giving you guys money. 😂

Also it would be helpful if the next game could be announced. Especially when there may have been neutrals at todays game as the premier teams are off for the WC. They may have been interested to know we have a Scottish Cup game next Saturday at Cliftonhill.

Peter, you are so right, either keep the web site up to date, or don't bother with a web site.

I think it’s very important to note that the website is updated by our media team - made up purely of volunteers. These guys are still learning every week and I’m sure we can all agree that the website has improved tenfold over the last year or so. Same can be said of the club’s Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook platforms.

I totally agree with the general point being made here, the website hasn't been updated enough recently and it reflects poorly on the club's ability to update fans/potential fans + its image in general.
However, the media guys are giving up the time they can give - I am certainly grateful for it and I know the club are too.
I can't commit to doing it unfortunately, I have too much on with work at the moment, I am working on Saturday's at other matches too - although I do take time out my working day to complete the team line graphics and give a hand where possible.
So with that, would anyone be willing to help out? marmiteman, with your vast knowledge of the media industry?
Also, others in this thread too, would you like to help out? I'd argue having a semi-updated website is better than not having one at all, but maybe that's just me.
It would be useful to have one or two volunteers dedicated to the upkeep of the website for sure.
I would be very happy to set anyone up on it, go through how to use it and work in some sort of basic plan/diary of what we should be posting and they could expand on that how they wish.
Ben.

Also, marmiteman, thanks for your not-so-kind words. I enjoyed the crass tone of your post too. Enlighten was my favorite part. It really felt like it totally implied the guys are just complete diddys - even although they are all studying relevant degrees/courses.
I'll let the guys know the idea of a club website is for the content to be fresh and relevant in case they didn't know, though.
One of these 'let me tell me them what they are doing wrong' posts pop up every once and while on here and I usually let them go, but not this time.
I'd once again implore anyone who has a problem with the club's media output to get in touch directly with me, and I would happily get them involved in some way.
Ben.

I can only echo the positive comments on the standard of the programme. It has always been traditionally and historically one of the high points of the club through successive seasons and this year is no exception. One area I could mention as it was used in past programmes was profiles of the players and this would give the fans some insight to the guys they watch and a closer connection. Just a thought for possibility in the future?

The thing is the boys in the media give up so much of their time already and they do a great job. Think for them to grow the media side of things they need more people to help them

See absolutely nothing crass in Peter's comments about the website just constructive criticism which was echoed by others. Don't spit the dummy and shoot the messenger. Listen!

I know myself and a few people from my course (HNC Television Production) did meet with a representative of the media team + Club on Wednesday evening where we had basically offered our services to help the media team improve the content which in turn would increase attendance but we were unfortunately informed that our services would only be required for editing match highlights and filming the match from the dugout side for the manager to use for post match analysis as we were told that they don’t feel the need to increase the media output by the club or media team size
