The prices for this Saturdays game at Cliftonhill have been set at £10 for adults and £5 for concessions. Very sensible decision on prices. Should entice back the significant number of non-Rovers fans who were there last week with good advertising. Ronnie

Should be a decent crowd to match the 500 or so who were there on Saturday. [Sorry, 372]

This will be a tough game but I think Rovers will score a few and win 4-1.
I've avoided any quips about the students needing to be home by 17.30 to watch Countdown and have a Pot Noodle.

Perilous to underestimate a Stirling Uni side who are second top of the Lowland League and scoring goals for fun, but I’ll go for a 2-1 Rovers victory.

Noticed that Glasgow University lost 9-0 to Spartans last weekend - would hate to play Spartans! although this will be equally tricky- go out with the same team spirit that has been building and we should be ok - happy with 2-0

Talking of the Scottish Cup who is the worst team to have played Rovers in the Cup?
For me it was Burntisland Shipyards.
I have a vague recollection of us beating Gala Fairydean 8-1 after going 1 down but I may have completely made that up.

Burntisland Shipyard had no pre-match warm-up and as they trotted out to start everyone laughed at the short fat guy with the 'keeper's kit on. He was probably their MOTM and without him it could easily have been 13 or 14.

Wasn’t it ourselves, when we played Formartine when Brogan was manager (and he resigned)? And didn’t the Burntisland keeper post on this message board for a while, going on to offer his services when our keeper was injured? We beat Gala 8-1 in 1985/86, but they didn’t score first - they scored in the last minute when they were 8 down. Vic Kasule ran riot that day.

He was probably their MOTM and without him it could easily have been 13 or 14. They did come out for a warm-up from about 2-2.30 and then went back in until just before k-o. Their 'keeper did post on the message board that he wasn't chuffed with his manager for this. Happy days, I had £1 on that scoreline at 100/1 and would have won nothing if we'd lost a goal which I was most worried about during the game.
