The race night will start at 1930 on Friday 10th March in the Gartsherrie Club.
Entry price/tickets is £5 per person, payable on the night. There will be also be a raffle, donations would be greatly appreciated and can be brought along to any home game between now and the 10th.
There will be 7 races in total, 6 plus an auction race.
If you’re interested in sponsoring the programme, a race or owning a horse, it will be £20 to sponsor each race/the programme and £3 to purchase a horse.
Race/programme sponsors will be recognised in the programme with multiple punts on the night for their sponsorship. Winning owners will each receive a bottle of Prosecco in addition to the normal spoils.
Please direct message me, visit the club shop at home games between now and the 10th if you would like to sponsor a race or own a horse. The closing date for race sponsorship or horse ownership will be Tuesday 7th March.
Thanks

Just realised it looks like you need to time travel to make this event the best part of a hundred years ago!

Any possible clues as to who Newtorovers actually is so people know who to approach?
I wouldn't want to hand a raffle prize to Prof by mistake.

Just a quick note to thank everyone for turning out when the weather was so poor.
At this stage I can say we made around £600-£700 for the Supporters Trust, I’ll confirm over the next couple of days the exact amount and will post here.
I’m addition to those already thanked earlier in the thread, I’d like to also thank the winners of the auction race who kindly donated the proceeds back to the Trust. The winners asked to remain anonymous. I would like to extend my gratitude on behalf of the ST. I’d also ask that those in attendance on the night kindly refrain from posting their identity on the message board.
I’d also like to thank the Candy Store too for their kind donations.
Thanks again to everyone for their continued support of the Supporters Trust.

Brilliant night. Well done to all who organised. My highlight was Prof jumping about like a firework when his horse was leading mid race. Sadly, like all horses leading mid race it didn't win. Really disappointing not to see any directors present. Great company with the legends of Summerlee Mary n Andy and Eaglesham's wealthiest resident Dr Chris Ide. Oh and The Jumping Prof.
Well done to everyone once again.
Makes you proud to support this club.
Peter

Morning all. Suffering from a bit of insomnia.
Just completed the final count of the racenight proceeds. In total you have raised the fantastic sum of £1,244. The generosity shown by everyone really is amazing.
Thanks to you all once again for your support and for the nice feedback.
