Mindless idiots. They can, in the local language, 'get tae...'

He hasn’t spoken to me but this shareholder says a definite no. Ronnie The BoD need to address this renewed attack on their credentials and integrity as a matter of urgency , and seek assurances from major shareholders that this ghastly takeover bid - which would effectively mean the death of Albion Rovers - is categorically rejected.

In the unlikely event that some of our major shareholders are willing to sell I'd urge them to allow people who actually want Albion Rovers to exist to buy them instead.

I`m a bit surprised that Reilly and his gang haven`t tried reaching out to the Supporters Trust

“We only agreed to attend the Albion Rovers board meeting last summer on the condition that the full board had been briefed on our proposal and that the name change and rebranding to an Irish-affiliated name reflecting the demographics of Coatbridge was non-negotiable.
“The chairman subsequently confirmed the board had been briefed and was open to this discussion and rebranding proposal, therefore on those conditions being met, we agreed to attend the board meeting.
“Contrary to their statement, the board did and were entertaining the idea of Shamrock Rovers Coatbridge, and those discussions continued into this season, with the last response from them being ‘Let’s wait until the end of the season”
Someone’s telling porkies…..
With the upcoming Tri Branch meeting can I suggest one of the questions asked is who?

The board cannot universally agree to anything, which is the only advantage of our archaic shares system. get this sunk without trace, and pronto!

The board cannot universally agree to anything, which is the only advantage of our archaic shares system. get this sunk without trace, and pronto! Agreed, David. The allegations made by Reilly have to be addressed head on, via an immediate press statement and/or interview; and assurances have to be sought from all major shareholders that they won’t entertain this malign attempt to destroy our club. The already diminished Albion Rovers brand is being seriously damaged every time Reilly speaks to the press.

The Board need to put this to bed to allow the club to focus on whatis going to be a really challenging time.

Unfortunately everyone I meet now says the Shamrock Rovers when referring to our club. Allbeit in jest but mud sticks.
Needless to say, if this sees light of day, I trust refunds to season tickets will be forthcoming.
I bought a season ticket for Albion Rovers.
I'm spitting teeth today (well the three teeth I have left 😬).
BOD. Get a statement out to kill this off once and for all.

I am a minor shareholder, no one has contacted me.
There is to be a BOD/Supporters Trust/Community Trust joint meeting. Don't know the date, but could maybe be brought forward to deal with this crap with a withering statement.
Who is this Reilly guy? Does not have the best interests of the club at heart, but is determined to cause division.
The two major shareholders mentioned in the article do not have a majority of the shares, they can not decide the future of ARFC, but the rest of the shareholders need to be on standby, just in case there is an attempt to railroad a change through.

I would hope every shareholder won’t let this happen we are a proud club and any name change would have to have the fans backing . Quite clear the guys motive is to have a kick at us while we’re down if they really cared about the club and Coatbridge history then why didn’t they go public away back last year. End of the day we’re Albion rovers and that’s the way it should be kept . The people sound unworkable from the consortium from what I have seen online

I'd also guess that the original Shamrock Rovers from Dublin would have something to say about their name being taken for a made up Football Team .
They have been in existence for over 100 years. I have to say that outside this London based diddy and the soon to be deceased Daily Record this is a non story everywhere else.
