We were the better team and the only one trying to play football. Airdrie were awful but done well to keep themselves in the game. Neil Parry done for them what he done for us a good few times last season and made vital saves. Shame he acted like a complete D*CK at the final whistle.
I need to highlight John Gemmell, the big man had a great game for us and scored a superb goal! He bossed the 2 Airdrie centre backs the whole game. If ever there was a performance to let everyone know who should be starting up front for us then this was it. He should be one of the first names on the team sheet every week
Bucky - spot on. At each of the three games we have played against Airdrie this year we've heard the same chant. So whilst it's just 'banter' and all good fun, I agree he has every right to celebrate and 'give it large'. That's just banter although a bit less good fun for us.
Shakey - I agree the ref gave Gemmell nothing on Saturday but, and I know this won't be popular (especially with the big man himself if he's reading this), I think he goes down a bit too easy at times and makes it easy for the ref to wave play on. He's a big guy, a real handful and he's got a great first touch. I'd like him to stay on his feet a bit more often.
Depends on how you leave. Gaston left and is treated with respect and welcome back any time. Parry left for our rivals and a made comments about how he always wanted to play for Airdrie. Hence the verbal. A twats a twat for all that.
