My grandfather bought one pounds worth of shares (10 at 2 shillings each) in 1919 which was quite a chunk out of a week`s wage in those days. Those passed to his elder daughter (my aunt) on his demise. Back in Robin Marwick`s day as Chairman these were transferred to me - according to the Company`s Articles of Association all share transfers have to be done via the Directors. And yes, as a life long Albion Rovers supporter - first season ticket in 1960 - ten shillings for a boy`s ticket - I will be holding on to my ten shares for `dear life` - indeed I responded positively to the Chairman`s recent letter to all Shareholders, hoping my CONTRIBUTION would help in some small way. Some history and association with the club Grant - nearly 100 years!!!
