I watched View from the Terrace on Friday and the topic came up about an upsurge in trouble due to neds posing as ultras. Dumbarton and Forfar have put out statements (Stirling put one out last night). Not making an excuse for them but it just seems to be a thing now. The lower down the leagues you go they seem to see it as an easy target because clubs have lower levels of stewarding.

Tranent last night released a statement regarding young people at their games
"Recently the club have been engaging with other community organisations in the hope that collectively we could improve the behaviour of a certain group not only at our games but throughout our community.
However, on Saturday even with police presence and mobile CCTV in operation, which is currently under review by the police, further unacceptable behaviour occurred.
Taking this into account we have been left with no other option but to ban this group from attending our games and implement the match day rule that under 16 year olds will only be admitted when accompanied by a paying adult.
We are disappointed in having to take this decision but the actions of a small number of individuals within that group have spoiled it for everyone.
Tranent FC as a community club will continue to engage with our community partners to try and solve which is not just a football problem but also impacting others within our community away from Foresters Park."

It's a societal problem not strictly a football one but as these incidents are taking place at football grounds up and down the country football will get the blame.

They may try and blame football but everyone knows it's widespread in our communities and town centres. They have created a monster by indulging every whim of children. Ask the teachers who are getting assaulted by pupils on a daily basis.
