Apparently they have frost covers but didn't put them down
Also there squad is decimated with injuries this week
. Definitely ruled out are Chris O'Neil, Darren McCormack and Andy Jackson while skipper Paul McLean will be serving the first of a two-match suspension following his red card at Excelsior Stadium and to add to Darren's woes, Alan Trouten and Finn Graham are both struggling to be fit in time
Would not have made the game today, but an absolute joke from Brechin not to have even attempted to get the game played.Read comments on P&B from their supporters and they are pleased considering their injuries and suspensions. The book should be thrown at the club for downright cheating - call it as it is - manipulation.
I'm upset too - Brechin have made themselves hard to beat but their squad is small and today we had an excellent chance of beating them. I hope that if/when we find ourselves in similar situations at Cliftonhill in the Winter we make every effort to make the games go ahead.
Last season we had to play about half a dozen midweek home games, one in particular which may have changed our season: had we beaten Stranraer rather than losing 2-0 to two quick, cheap goals on a Tuesday night in February we would have finished above them. Hopefully this is not the first in a sequence of game-free Saturdays.
Absolutely agree with all of that. Poor, poor effort (no effort?) from Brechin. No consideration at all for the fans. Travelling up there for a midweek game after work doesn't help the players either. Hope we stuff them in the rearranged game.
