Today's game at Brechin is off due to a frozen pitch.

Absolutely raging today that I and a chap from Chesterfield had travelled to Brechin only to find out the match was off. 216 mile round trip for me. Nearer a 600 mile trip for the other chap.
Surely the leagues should have a set time for match call offs especially when such long and precarious journeys need to be made.
I passed the rovers fans at St Andrews Bar at 11am so never thought the game would be in jeapordy.
Total cost of £60 for nothing! Aaargh

Aaargh Nightmare Peter - but to be fair it was called fairly early - 11:00am pitch inspection is just about OK for the travelling fans - at least from Coatbridge. Apparently Brechin had a bit of an injury/suspension crisis - heaven forbid that had any bearing on the decision to call the game off :-). Oh well - cue the first Tuesday night away journey of the season.

Sorry to hear of your wasted journey Peter. The club did it's best to get the message out after we heard around 11.20.

That's dedication marmiteman! The only game in the country to be called off yesterday. Absolute joke.

I fully agree with the comments regarding the time when Brechin decided to announce the game was off. Totally unacceptable. With respect, how many games were postponed at Cliftonhill over the past few seasons? I seem to remember that our postponements were the only games called off in Scotland. Junior games went ahead whilst our games were called off. I think we now know how it feels for travelling supporters who tried to visit cliftonhill. I remember Airdrie calling a game off around 1pm last season and supporters were already en-route from the north. Decisions should be made earlier.

My own fault for listenibg to Radio 2 on the way up. And I passed the Rovers posse at St Andrews Bar at 11am so thought nothing more of it. No call offs mentioned on any news bulletin on way up.
At least I had a lovely lunch in the fish bar next to the ground. Highly recommend it next time we are up in Brechin.

Sorry guys who reckon it was a reasonable time to call the game off - nonsense. Called off at 11.00am with the Rovers coach booked to leave Coatbridge at 11.45am. Any call-off for a game which involves away fans travelling for around 2 hours should be called off at 9.00am-end of. Very fortunate yesterday that Tommy Miller of Millers Coaches is brilliant to deal with to avoid a £40.00 cancellation charge. Just to add-absolutely no fault on Albion Rovers part.

Disappointing that by 10.30 on Saturday, neither sfl or Brechin City website showed any indication of a pitch inspection. Yet again - no consideration for travelling fans.

Brechin and Rovers Twitter feeds did show pitch inspection no later than 10.00.
