The steering group is arranging a meeting for those interested in hearing a proposal of fan ownership of Albion Rovers.
We are awaiting confirmation from the venue that our booking is confirmed before announcing details, this shall take a few days to receive. We anticipate giving about 3 weeks notice of the date and venue so people will have plenty of notice.

Less than 48 hours to this hugely important meeting which includes a guest speaker with plenty of experience in these matters.

I had intended to come but my grandson's team could win the league if they win tomorrow. They have lost in 3 cup finals (1-0 to a last minute goal in two, the other on penalties) and he'd be gutted to finish the season with nothing, so I feel I should go along. Like gwood, interested to know the outcome and whether there is anything I can usefully do.

Genuinely interested to see what transpires at this meeting. Unfortunately I can’t be there. It’s my wedding anniversary and I don’t think my wife would forgive me for ditching her for my first love ………..Albion Rovers FC.

Well attended.
I, personally, learned nothing new about fan ownership or the groups plans to achieve it, but sure those new to the idea did.
Expected a bit more in the way of figures, numbers required, benefits of membership etc.
Few concerns raised in the room re: loan - concerns I share and am sure others will, too.
Clydebank have 600 monthly backers. Claim was we’d only need “50-100” to make it viable. Not entirely sure of the that, somehow.
If there is serious interest in taking this forward, major shareholders will need to be convinced and won over.
Kudos, however, for the work done so far and to the volunteers putting in the time.
