Hi, can someone please tell me what happened to the kids Christmas Party this year? Also my daughter has a season ticket and she didn't receive a Birthday card as promised through the kids club. And she hasn't had any newsletters from the manager/ first team as promised through the kids club. What is the point in getting a season book for a juvenile if the kids club isn't being run properly, maybe I'm being a bit harsh. But come on why advertise the kids club with the benefits of getting a season book and then not carrying out what was suppose to happen.
Thanks Neil.

Same here. Absolutely nothing. Was there not also supposed to be a draw for match day mascot? Colin

The Kids Christmas Party was last held 3 years ago . It's demise was down to a. Number of factors . But esssntially the responsibility was left to one or 2 individuals .The final party ended with around 16 children attending when 24 had booked a place . Although there are a great but small group of people who volunteer to help around the club . The level of commitment tends to burn them out So there is really a need for some more help with events such as a children's party before it would be re started

Thanks for the reply Eddie, but isn't this false advertising then? Also as I said the newsletters and birthday cards which my daughter was looking forward to. And the match day mascots draw. On a different point, I noticed a lack of ballboy/ballgirls at the games. Couldn't the kids that have joined the kids club be put forward as ballboy/ ballgirls.

Neil,
You would be quicker buying a Xmas card and ask Darren to sign it for you.
No one seems to be taking any responsibility at the rovers.
I've noticed the public relations have gotten worse.
Club needs to have a real look at itself and question the PR team.
Need a new PR team as the current team is non existent.
Facebook page is never updated nor the website. It's became more apparent that this forum is the only real communication. Club is miles behind in terms of social media. Sad state of affairs when lowland league teams post news, interviews etc...but a league one club cannot.

Guys
Everyone should have received a letter detailing which game your child has been selected as a mascot for (every kid has been given one) some months ago. If you have not received this please email me tony.mcminn@albionroversfc.com and I will sort it out.
Christmas cards will be out this week. Apologies for the delay but I have been very busy with the school projects etc and also had sometime off and missed the Brechin game unwell.
My email address has been posted on this forum several times and I genuinely mean it when I say if there's any problems or suggestions let me know.
Our community teams normally provide the ballboys but due to a lack of pitches in the area have been kicking off later on a Saturday and struggling to make our games. I'm happy for kids to be put forward as ballboys/girls if they can make it most weeks, again just email me and let me know.
Tony

Cheers for the reply Tony. Like most of the guys above, my wee fella also hasn't had any info from the club after buying him a kids season book. I know first hand the commendable effort and work going on in the local schools, I've seen it and my boy has been at the classes and I appreciate the work rate and effort this can generate for coaches. I just hope we're not taking too much on and missing the basics relating to our own junior/future fanbase, we really need to get this right.

I just hope we're not taking too much on and missing the basics relating to our own junior/future fanbase, we really need to get this right. Firstly apologies to everyone if this has caused any upset to the kids. I am not sure why some have received the letters and others haven't. Please can you all send me an email and I will let you know which game your son/daughter is the mascot for. Not everyone left full details (address, contact number, email address) when they filled out their season ticket forms so this may have something to do with it. I have deliberately grown the community programmes slowly to ensure that we haven't taken too much on and get things right. This has meant that we have had to disappoint some schools and clubs but as you say we need to get this right and had we become too big too soon the good reputation we are building for the quality of our programmes would have been at risk. We regularly review our work and are happy to take on board feedback. This is the first time the club has had a kids season ticket scheme since I got here and I can assure everyone we will iron out the issues to make sure the kids are looked after this season and moving forward future initiatives run better. Tony

Hi Tony, first of all thanks for the reply and sorry if I was moaning. But I only started the thread as I hadn't heard anything about the kids Christmas Party being organised. I fully understand how hard it must be for a club our size to get things done and they need all the help that they can get. I'm going to join the trust and try to get along to some trust meetings next year.
Thanks Neil.

I have had a look today and some people have filled in all the information on the season ticket applications others haven't so what I am suggesting is that I publish a list of who has been selected as mascot and for what game (it will be allocated by simply working my way through the list and the fixtures.)
In order to catch as many people as I can I will post it on here and put it up in the club shop. If there are email address and phone numbers I will also contact you individually as well. If you don't not hear from me I don't have contact details so please pm or email me or leave your details at the club shop this Saturday.
I have been in touch with this weekends mascot and we will get the ball rolling from there.
