Also Clyde will now use the stadium for training, last year they used Airdrie for that as Accies had did their training at it.

It seems they were down to the wire as the SPFL fixtures are released tomorrow. We may have to play Cumbernauld Colts on a Friday night due to this move. It takes approx. a week for the Lowland League to issue our fixtures after the SPFL ones come out. They have to allow for LL teams who share with SPFL ones having priority. Those teams are Celtic B, Colts, Shire, Hearts B and University of Stirling. Bo'ness and Clydebank also share a ground but will have priority over lower tier teams.

Peebles Rovers have withdrawn from the East of Scotland League for the upcoming season but will continue to pay association fees and not fold
They are the latest team to struggle with their ground,
They have played at Whitestone Park for 119 years and are struggling to bring it up to scratch as technically it's a public park.

We took in a game at Peebles some years ago and they went round the "crowd" with a bucket for donations rather than being able to charge due to the public park nature of their gaff.

More drama at Hamilton
Now hit with a season long transfer embargo and another £7500 fine, £5000 of which is suspended
The SPFL can today confirm that an independent disciplinary tribunal has imposed a season-long transfer embargo on Hamilton Academical FC.
The William Hill League 1 club was already subject to a transfer embargo following remuneration and tax defaults which were determined or admitted during season 2024/25.
Any SPFL club that fails to settle its tax obligations or pay its players on time is subject to an automatic transfer embargo under SPFL Rules.
At a hearing which took place on Thursday 24 July, Hamilton Academical FC admitted to further breaches of SPFL Rules by failing to settle its tax obligations to HMRC on three occasions, and for failing to notify the SPFL that it had been in default of its tax obligations to HMRC on each occasion, as required by SPFL Rules.
Following these latest admitted breaches by the club, an independent disciplinary tribunal imposed the following sanctions:
• a transfer embargo which will remain in place until the opening of the registration window, which follows the end of season 2025/26; and
• A fine of £7,500 - £5,000 of which is suspended.
